Reactor number two at the Fukushima Daiichi has gone into full meltdown, although this is not being reported by the corporate media. The core has melted through the floor of the containment building and is now releasing large amounts of radiation.

Both items heard on CNN & FOX news, but a net search indicates to me that these issues are not being fully covered.

Why? And why is the 'no hazard' line so prominent in every report? Trust but verify...both the Government and the Media...

NIMBY it don't, and this is in my backyard!

The air in Washington state has been too clean for too long. Was bound to happen sooner or later. Just order some Iodide online. You'll be right as rain.
Kind of an apropo statement given your locale.

Radiation in the air 5,000 miles away...carried on the Jet Stream, rains out in Washington, grass gets wet, cows eat grass, milk glows in the dark and no one is worried...gimme a break!

If you're milk glows take it back and get a refund. Or use it for a black light. It's free energy brah it'll glow for awhile. Put it in the bathroom for a nite lite. Now you may want to put a wax cap on it cuz it might stank after awhile.

The sea contamination, in this instance, is the real bugger.

Major Tom to Mother Earth!

We have another problem...

Mother Earth to Major Tom:

Hold please, on the line with BP.

And so it goes.

ABC is reporting it...in Australia, online:

Richard Lahey, head of safety research for this type of reactor at General Electric, which installed the reactors at Fukushima in the 1970s, says workers at the site appear to have lost the race to save the crippled No. 2 reactor.

The Guardian newspaper quotes him as saying he believes the reactor core has melted through the bottom of the pressure vessel and at least some of it is down on the concrete floor beneath.

My guess is: the global economy is now so interlinked to consumer confidence that governments & big business collectively conspire to feed us "news" that reduces the potential for a drop in consumer spending wherever possible.

Spot on guesstimate.

My question is: Where on this once beautiful planet do these rich folk think they can take their ill gotten 30 pieces of silver to live in health with natural beauty?
