As a died in the wool Trekker I loved this story. I could find no technical or plot flaws in this one. I have read literally hundreds of fan fiction pieces about the various generations of "Star Trek", and found this to be a worthy entry into that genre.

And damned funny, too.

I'm not even a huge Star Trek fan (though I grew up watching reruns of the original series) and I loved this one. It's hysterical - Data equating sex with humans to bestiality, and his turning the Enterprise onto the joys of sex... Very well written, very witty, nicely paced, perfect ending. I too couldn't find a thing wrong with this one.

I haven't watched any of the Star Trek shows in over a year, but this story brought everything all back. Rinehart portrayed the characters flawlessly. Laurel, if you liked this story without even knowing the "Next Generation", you would have had your socks blown off if you were familiar with Riker, Picard, and Data. Throughout the story I could picture the characters with perfect clarity--every facial tic, every nuance and idiosyncracy.

Excellent story! Didn't moisten my cockles, but it sure tweaked my funny bone!
