okay people, I realism most of you are confused people and have this fantasy that health care and insurance industry fall under capitalism ....

health care - not capitalism
insurance - not capitalism
education system (and higher education) not capitalism
call phone/internet/land lines - not capitalism

these are examples of government hard at work fuckings things up and confusers getting rapped by "business" and government workers

obama care is a shit turd, waiting to funk up the world

if "they" wanted to fix things, let competition RULE (example computers and plastic surgery) and get criminals like obama and those in governemnt out of the way

You don't even know what capitalism is apparently. Please educate yourself.

they key is competition! why do those in government hate competition? is it because they are lazy and stupid? maybe they need to wear helmets?

Capitalism: When the consumers, appropriators and distributors of surplus value are not the creators of surplus value.

It is an amazingly simple definition.

It's not specifically those in government who "hate" competition. It's the businesses who buy off the elected officials. Business loves a monopoly. It means they get all the money for whatever product or services they provide.

Having a near monopoly via proprietary hardware is what allowed Apple to build up a cash surplus in the billions. The monopolies held by J.P. Morgan, Andrew Carnegie, Andrew Mellon, John D. Rockefeller, etc around the beginning of the 20th century is what turned them into billionaires and why their names are on so many places that their names will likely be household names as long as the US exists.

Nobody thinks that health care and insurance are pure capitalism. They're a blend of capitalistic and socialist policies. What's your point though?

its a blend of fuck up. these are examples as to 'how not to operate a enterprise' and just proof that obama care is a complete waste of money.

however, no one ever said that those in government are smart

Hey jen, what's your favorite movie? What sort of TV shows do you like to watch? What do you like to do in your spare time? How many times in a regular day will you address groups of people as "fucktards"?

Perhaps Health Care should not be an enterprise.

are you taking your stupid pill again? the reason why health care, insurance, and higher education are so freaking expensive is due to all the government bull shit regulations. get the fucktards out of the way (aka those like the corrupt obama) and prices will drop.

sean, why do you want others to pay more?

The problem with capitalism in health care is that it's goal is to make a profit, not provide accessible care or even care at all. In fact the goal is often to provide as little health care as possible. Having to provide care directly cuts profit.

If we get the government out of health care suddenly there are no doctors, no hospitals or clinics, technology advances slow to almost nothing, and only a tiny fraction of the country can get into a doctor's office where they then pay ridiculous fees.

Your Facebook page shows that you have kids. Did you have them in a hospital or utilize any kind of medical care then pregnant or delivering them? Yes? It's only because of government involvement in health care.

Get single payer and we cay less.

And I love most of those government regulations. If you can start pointing out bad ones I'd be happy to discuss them, but since you can't. . .yeah.

Prices won't drop.

Why do you want others to make less. You're supposed to love capitalism. I love living a long and healthy life.

I think that we have proven, you are 100% wrong. the only thing obama care does is spread out the costs (aka robbin hood - making obama the man in tights) and not reducing a dime of actual costs.

the solution is to allow free market and competition take over and that means ends this bull shit government crap.

aka, why do we need 50 different Blue Cross companies? One company that can sell insurance in any state.

we need to post the prices for medical procedures and FORCE Dr's to compete for business

also force hospitals to compete for clients. why should a hospital charge $10,000 when a off site facility only charges $900?

free markets is the SOLUTION

government is the problem

omg, more stupidity. you have zero common sense, so sad.

take a moment and research plastic surgery and the costs of procedures. prices have come down, as Dr's had to fight for business.

if you don't get that, well, you are just an example as to how stupid people in America have become

Where do you see lack of free market competition? In every city there are hundreds of doctors, many hospitals, access to many drugs made by many manufacturers, etc.

And hospitals do compete for patients, including the ones I work at. That's part of the reason costs are so high though, they raise the cost of medical care to cover their TV commercials and stadium naming rights.

So what?

Plastic surgery is entirely different from standard medical care. You can shop around, wait, wait, some more and even decide that fake boobs aren't important to you.

I know there are some bad asses out there who in the middle of a heart attack can have the presence of mind to call each doctor in the area, maybe even drive out of the area but I don't expect that of most people. Do you?

Doctors are kinda like cops, they got you by the balls. You could always regulate their prices but we seem to generally agree that's wrong.

Family Care docs are the same way. If they don't go out and find enough patients they lose money. Either that or they're part of a network what advertises and compete for patients. Why would you suggest otherwise?

kind of, but again you're not seeing the big picture. they don't post their prices and people never check. most people just look to see if they are in the "network" and that's about it.

You know what that would be Jen? A lack of regulation. One you clearly agree with. Prices should be posted so a side by side comparison can be made. (Of course most of us aren't doctors so we couldn't compare them anyway with any accuracy but one step at a time.

regulation isn't necessary for many "enterprises"

remember, most people go into "governemnt" because they are lazy and stupid. it takes a special kind of person, one with no pride or self esteem whose only goal is to do the bare min, put time in, and rape the tax payer with their pension system (just look at Detroit)
