Uhh...i've not only heard of such devices, but having been a student of porn since the eary 70's i have seen film footage of a couple.

There was a Rube Goldburgesque device that was used in a "short film" by a company called Swedish Erotica. It had a pneumatic powered dildo projecting from a flexible clear plastic tube.
