My laptop is 13 months old. 1 month over warranty. And the hard drive died. I have lost everything again (2nd time this year). They want $700 bucks to fix it, and are faxing me a quote. I had to pay $100 for them to find out what the problem was.
Well, they better hurry up and fax it, because I just found out that the hard drive has a 5 year warranty by searching the oz site for compaq. And I'm going to send the quote off to Fair Trading.
And then I'm going back to the shop I bought it from. It was thier technician who referred me to this rip-off crowd because he was too busy to fix it, and that is sounded like hard drive problems. Bloody leading oz retailer my ass. Wait till I find the manager. They are going to fix it [their tech support told me it sounded like hard drive problems] and give me a credit note for $100, and kick their employees butt for referring business elsewhere.
