So I have been out all day, and is helping building a house here.

Hauling wood, putting up walls...you know the works....And my back is KILLING ME!

Anyone have a good painkiller advice.....I have to do it again tomorrow at 10 am.....and if I cant lift anything I wont be much help on the site.

Tylenol PM is also good, if you have a good alarm clock. If a heating pad doesn't work, an electric blanket set on low is what I use. In the mornings when my knee acts up, I take the hottest shower I can stand to limber up. Take care, Teresa

Thanks guys.

I need to be fully functional tomorrow again..and I mean FULLY functional......its time to do the roof......

Hot and cold therapy can help to reduce back pain. Heat relaxes muscles and soothes away the pains. Cold numbs the pain and relieves the muscles. Sometimes it’s as simple as taking a nice long hot shower or soaking in a warm/hot bath for an hour. Heating pads and warm compresses also work wonders. You can toggle between hot and cold by applying heat to the pain for 15 minutes and then switching to cold compresses (ice pack, frozen vegetable bag - best to use as it molds around your back, or a large ice cube massaged around the area) for another 15 minutes.

Use back supports when lifting or bending often

There are tons of great back braces that offer you good support during any strenuous activity. The only problem with that is that over a long period of wearing a back brace your muscles will begin to rely on your back brace (the beginnings of atrophy). Make sure that you only have the brace tightened during your active times. When you are standing or just sitting, undo your brace. Braces with suspenders are the best for this because you don’t have to take it off and put it back on. You can just loosen the brace and tighten it when you need it.

Hope this helps

Yes it does thank you.
Though I am using back suppoirt when hauling the heavy stuff around...I wouldn't be able to otherwise.

Oxycontion is what I would recomend
if not that maybe Ultram.
Or perhaps demerol.
If none of the above?
