I was on a roll, then my fucking program closed saying it encountered an error and had to close did I want to send a fucking message?

I lost the last page of work, and I was really getting into the grove after 2 months away for work!!!

Where the fuck do I find temporary files to see if it may have saved before closing?

desperate cannot begin to describe it!!!!

Re-load the program, as software like word can usually retrieve whatever was last being worked on, even if it was unsaved, but if nothing displays when you load it, consult the website for your software.

If you use word, it will usually ask if you wish to load the last auto save. If not, the files can be viewd and loaded by showing hidden files in the folder you were working in. Word files autosave as WRl****.tmp. The variables being numbers.

Good luck

I can't find anything!

I pressed print screen, and pasted it in paint so that I at least have something, even if there is the big error message in the middle. I've just copied it, and will have to connect up the sentences later.

Thanks!

Wish my computer would talk dirty to me (the little fuck).

As a veteran of a thousand blue screens of death, I have learned this:

1. Go into options and do two things. On the save tab, check the Always Create Backup copy option. Each time you save, the previously saved version becomes your backup copy. Next, check the save Autorecover info button and specify the amount of time you're comfortable with. This will automatically save your document at whatever interval of time that you set up.

2. Save, save, save. Control-S is ingrained in my left hand's memory every time I complete a sentence.

3. Have a drink. It always helps to settle your nerves after this kind of shit happens!

I don't know what any of you are talking about, as I rode the short Dell bus to get here. If anybody knew how I put my stories onto here you would collectively bust guts. :cathappy:
