Is there anyway to batch download stories from this site using FTP or some other means?

I don't think there is, and its kinda understandable why not. If they allowed such an option you could readily replicate lit's story base on another website in a matter of days.

As far as I can tell, every story is stored in a database, so even the program I use to siphon down a website in one shot wouldn't work due to the dynamic nature of lit's internals.
