Do you like fruitcake? Loathe it? Me, I can take it or leave it. It will never be the first thing I pick off the sweets tray.

What do you do with fruitcake after the holidays?

Suggestions welcome.

Maybe matching fruitcake bookends?
Utilize it instead of that green foam for floral arrangements?
Door stop?

Spam me with your festive fruitcake finesse.

Hola, Aphroditiac :)
You could always use your freezer Zip-lock baggies and freeze left overs (it thaws out muy bien!) for another occasion, or
add milk and eggs and cocoa powder or melted chocolate, marshmallow fluff, something cremoso, and make some "custom" brownies, to give away too,
I do this.
Hope you get more suggestions :rose:

Mamasota...I thought there was only one kind of "custom" brownies I would be interested in. ;) Your suggestion sounds delightful, however.

I heard that ;)
But I forgot to say, you need to put all these ingredientes into the food processor, with the fruit cake and then bake again, but I guess you know that. Also add nuts, raisins too, grated ginger, you can get all kinds of diferente tastes, you might even make a new custom flavor for yourself http://elouai.com/images/yahoo/09.gif
Another thing, soak the fruit cake in some kind of fruity wine, just enough to wet it through, put in those pretty glasses with a scoop of vanilla ice ceam and a cherry on top, voilà a very tasty and good looking dessert!.
