Hi! I have a quite difficult problem... Yeah exactly thats about my English... Living in Hungary so unfortunately my english is limited, not like my fantasy :) I'd love to share my sexual fantasies with others all around the world, 'cause its extremly interesting for me, changing experiences and dreams with people from different cultures about eroticism and pornography. I can easily understand most of others stories here, the problem is that i cant really practice the other side: writing... Stories with lame English would be more annoying then enjoying... Experienced the same during chat. But if somebody still would give it a try and correct a story for me or two, i'll try my best to give some enjoyable moment for her with my stories.... So if any nice lady find it an interesting task to help me understanding the essence of erotic writing in english i would be thankfull for the rest of my life :) And sorry for all those faults in these few lines... :)

I'd be more than happy to give it a try for you. I've had a numer of correspondences (oh, that's sad, I don't even know if I spelled that right) with folks from Hungary, Norway, Denmark and others, so I'm used to the occasional odd twist of phrasing. :)

Send me a PM, and I'll pass along my contact info for you, and what format I'll need to recieve the stories in. :)

What a nice thread, and a very kind response from jadefirefly to help, especially for any author whose first language is not English. Both parties benefit, author and editor, learning about the culture of the other, and maybe something about language, too.

Ahhh ... Lit's own version of foreign exchange with global communications thrown in. You gotta love it! ;)

I once played an online game where I met a boy from Hungary. I didn't realize that he wasn't a native English speaker for quite some time, and was occasionally confused when he'd express a lack of comprehension for what I thought was a perfectly understandable statement, until one day I realized that it was always some sort of colloquialism, or euphemistic thing, that wouldn't have made any sense at all if it was translated literally, unless one had a similar saying in their own language.

We all had a good laugh about it later, but man, was I confused at first! :D Since then I've gotten, I think, fairly good at phrasing things so that they're easier to understand when one is having to translate mentally. :)
