Friend falls apart over woman

I thought this idea would be fun. Group of girls and guys were all platonic friends through high school. After their freshman year of college they all come back to their hometown and find one of their friends, a previously shy and petite girl, is now a much more outgoing thicc woman who has come out as bi.

Everyone says their hellos and catches up but in the back of their minds, everyone of them has a thought: “oh god, she’s so hot.”

Of course their friend doesn’t notice or at least pretends not to notice their looks but each of the friends do catch each other looking and when she goes to the bathroom, the accusations start flying over who should get the first shot at her.

By the end of the night, everyone is showing smiles but is shooting daggers. So this summer everyone who was friends are now in a contest to see who can get with their hot friend.

Just thought it would be fun especially as each friend tries to justify themself: one lesbian friend thinks she should since she had a crush back in high school but thought she was straight. Another has been her friend the longest, with each one trying to also sabotage each other.

Of course a possible ending is an orgy or girl is already dating or is sickened by them tossing away their friendships, but I think I’d like a more unique ending.

my creative juices aren't flowing too swiftly right now, but what if, realizing they all now have the hots for her, she creates a contest to see who gets to sleep with her first. Only, the contest leads them to the realization that they are all best friends and there to help and support one another, and not compete and undermine one another. No orgy, some sexual situations, but ultimately about the strength of friendship...

What a breath of fresh air from all the bored housewives and such.
Actually, I witnessed this not in college but high school. She was in my class and was perceived as a quiet bookworm that had a wardrobe and glasses that reflected that stereotype.
Suddenly, almost seemingly overnight, the glasses gave way to contacts and the modest dresses gave way to tight jeans with holes.
The clincher was she started dating the bad boy of the class who was an unpredictable nearly bipolar hot head but just oozed attractive sexuality.
The whole class was almost incensed that they "lost" this innocent classmate to this dirty guy while below the surface they all wondered how.
Me included.
This has the potential not only for a good story but a screenplay. A romantic comedy for the new millennium

What if it is one of the guys, rather than one of the girls, who comes out as bi? One might think that you could get pretty much the same story out of it, but I'll bet it would have an entirely different feel.

Then.
Change the group of guys and girls into amoeba and the shy girl into a paramecia.
After causing disease and eating a few brains the amoeba returns finding that the paramecia had morphed from a micronucleus to a macronucleus (a thicker paramecia).
Soon chaos ensues as they all compete over who gets to infect it.

If we are going to let "It's been done before" be a valid criticism of a Story Idea, we might as well shut this form down completely. Everything has been done before. The trick is to make it fresh.

I can work with this. There’s an old story about a guy who died but refused to stay dead so he got out of the coffin during the wake and went home to be with his widow who after a couple days wanted him gone. He wouldn’t listen to the priest who told him it was time for him to pass on and anyone else that stopped by. So the widow’s suitor, a travelling musician visited and played a song so great that the man danced until he fell to pieces so they could bundle them up and bury them. The musician was so traumatized that he ran for the hills.

So what if our character is undead? Or what if he’s a Frankenstein-like creature. Made of stitches together parts? Whenever he sees the woman he loves he gets so embarassed that he starts falling apart. Now he can piece himself back together but he doesn’t always assemble himself right…and sometimes he gets more parts added. So he communicates with her by email instead. He builds up a decent resistance and feel comfortable around her so he goes over to her place but tries to cover up.

His date then says she wants to see him and he reluctantly strips, though instead of being scared, his date is turned on. So much so he falls apart. She then asks while he’s reassembling himself if he can change into something very different from human and he says he can…cut to a sex scene where a centipede like construct of legs, arms, spines heads and genitals are pleasuring her, falling apart and then reassembling into something else.
