Freezing Bud

bud? the beer or the "hurb"

dont try freezing the beer the glass will crack

if you meen the other then yea people do it, im a no drugs man but my friends that do say puting it in the frezzer keeps it fresh and prevents the odor from geting in to every thing.

don't freeze carbonated beverages ever.

as for bud, don't freeze it. keep it in a tightly closed bag with an orange or lemon peel in it... it'll keep it moist and fresh.

I am afraid it might get moldy if I store it. Maybe a airtight container? Its stinky and sticky.

Buy it new and store it in the regular fridge. If you want to keep it cool when servered you can buy those mugs you put in the freezer, so when you are ready to drink your brew put it in the mug and it will keep a chill.
This all depends on how many mugs you want to keep in the freeze. I would recommend the glass ones, they tend not to affect the way the beer tastes.
Other than that don't buy so much as you cannot store it. If your serving to a party and this is the reason you need to buy so many then what you can do it get a ball or keg and rent a spigot with a refrigerator on the bottom. They are costly to rent but it will keep a good quantity of beer cool.
The cheapest way is to buy a lot of ice and fill up your bath tub. Then put the beer in; any beer after that will stay chilled. Keep adding ice as you need it.

Back when I was still smoking pot (if I had a huge amount that I knew that I wouldn't smoke up in a week or so), I used to always put it in a tupperware bowl.

If you freeze it, you always have to worry about 'freezer burn' AND that the thawing process might ruin it... Maybe just put it in the refrigerator.

Generally an airtight container (slow oxidation) in dark place (stop deterioration by UV light) in a cool place (slow chemical reactions that break down the molecules) applies to storing almost everything.

Many things can be frozen, preferably very well below zero, which can keep them fresh for years. The limiter is often mechanical damage from freezing, (cells bursting for water expanding, separation due to ingredients with different freezing points).

But they keep viable embryos (clusters of cells that will grow into an complex organism) in liquid nitrogen and drugs at 100 below for decades. Most of the time, it's the vehicle they are suspended in. Unfortunately cans of carbonated drinks don't keep.

I think if you go for an airtight container and then use one of those vacuum pumps for freezing food, they work well on airtight containers. You also get to remove some of the water that could make it rot etc.

Yes it would be fine. Like the others have said, keep it in an air tight container or just dry the crap out of it first then rehydrate with a little orange peel when you pull it out of the freezer.

Not too long with the peel though or you'll get mold.

Whatever you do, keep it out of direct sunlight. The UV rads will degrade the THC.

DO NOT FREEZE BUD!!!!!!!!!

have you ever thawed out a block of spinach???? SAME THING will happen with herb.

not too mention you will have to go through a dryign process before smoking it.

if this is something that you want to occasionally take out small doses every so often. I would opt for a tupperware container and put it in the veggie crisper (the bottom closed shelf in your fridge). If you put too much light on it it will start to lose it's color, too much heat and it will stink more, too cold and you will have a retaining fluid problem.

Oh by the way, you might wanna throw a box of baking soda in your fridge as well to keep out any unwanted odors!!!!

P.S. that advice of throwing a piece of lemon or orange rind in a bag with bud is kinda funny. IF your goal was to get a citrus bud it would be great but if you keep the peel in their for longer than a week you will have a brand new invention...SMOKABLE PENICILLIAN!!!!!!!!!!

If you're having this problem then your dealer is spraying down your weed for weight. Get a new dealer.

Pot should have very little water content. Under 10% if I remember correctly. If MJ is properly dried, freezing is not a big deal. If the pot is not dry before freezing then ice crystals can form and destroy the THC in the plant. I'd say that freezing becomes more of an issue if you live in a high humidity zone. In this case you want to dry and freeze your stash before the ambient humidity causes fungal growth on your "herbage". In a dry climate drying your pot should be sufficient.

As for the orange rind thing, it works pretty good. Doesn't impart much of a flavour to the pot but it's better than using a moistened paper towel if you want to re-hydrate your stash a little. But you're right no more than a few days or else mold will appear.

vaucum pack?

put it in a juicer and drink it

freezing any herb help keep it fresh:confused:
