I didn't get scissle either, but my vocab goes up to about level 42...

That's what helped me, too. Words like 'antipode.'

Who knew having a degree in English would come in handy?

Hmm. I never got above level 38.

This is definitely one of those games that favours a British private education: Greek, Latin and Old English all very much necessary...

I acquired 380 grains, but got stuck on *gulp* admissible

I picked Permissive, the choices were:

Permissive
Unfavourable
Allowable
Neutral

It was tricky dammit. Permissive and allowable are similar, yeah, that's it. lol

The multiple choice thing does make it easier, I doubt if I could have actually defined a lot of the words that I worked out by comparing the suggestions. Couldn't get past 49, even though they started repeating occasionally.

46 is my high-water mark too; I seem to be levelling out at roughly 43-44. Has anyone beaten 50 yet?
