I really wish I could remember the haiku I wrote ages ago about tangled white sheets and lying sated on opposite sides of the bed, alone.

In one of my stories, I referred to that as "the Grand Canyon afterglow."

Nice! I like it. The word afterglow gives it a bit more positive aspect than the melancholy I was going for in my haiku though. I hope I still have that haiku around somewhere in a folder. I'd hate to think it's lost to the sands of time.

A little romance, properly applied, can make up for a lot of things.

"How about fixing me a sandwich?" usually doesn't fall under the idea of afterglow romance though.
