I notice that the Beatles music on facebook is still beset by very early stuff and covers. I want to hear Sgt Pepper again, but no go.

Lions Club (btw I gotta check if Lions Clubs exist in China...cos I saw a car today with a Lions badge on it. Thought occurred to me that it's a copy, designed to look foreign. Chinese will make and sell anything!
LOL ok...I just checked: there are!
Wife swapping club.
(in the 1970's in my hometown that was also known as the Jaycees.)

In the 70's in my hometown I went along to help a band that was booked for a doctors' dinner/dance in a function room, set up their gear. Walking round the tables, we noticed that Dr X was seated next to Mrs Y, while Dr Y was seated way over with Mrs X and so on. Certainly made me wonder what these people were up to.
Sounds like the adult form of playing doctor.

Mummies and Australia reminds me of Barry Humphries explaining why he spent so much time living outside Australia. 'There's nothing wrong with Australia. But to spend your whole life there is a bit like going to a party and spending the whole night dancing with your mother.' One bright cookie.![]()
Guy I sat next to in Senior-Year Study Hall worked (as well as a few other friends) at local Outback... Continually complained "Blooming Onion" was WAAY easy to make, & they therefore HUGELY overcharged for it. Made me promise never to go there.
Over a decade later, kept that promise.

didjery-doo

didjeridu (or didgeridoo)
Charlie McMahon - an expert didge player - ought to get a mention too. He had an artificial hand.
It's not an instrument (?) to which I have given attention. I think some you-tube research is indicated.
[further thought; when does he breathe ?]

Of course it's an instrument.Produces drones mainly, but can be made to imitate animals (dingoes) and birds while making the drone at the same time.. and it's done by a circular breathing technique. Very difficult to do; I've tried. Maybe I need more practice with a vacuum cleaner tube and better lungs!

Rolf Harris... Anyone who need ask why, here!!
We have struck the name of that 'man' from our collective and individual memories (unfortunate, but necessary)
"Tricky Dick" Nixon (unfortunately necessary)
