She'd have a load of trouble coming through my bathroom window.
Double-glazed, ripple effect, and only the little bit at the top opens out.
:cattail:

Playing hard to get there HP. You need urgent renovations in case she comes back and wants to come in.:)

It's thirty years old now but still funny as hell.

The Money Pit

:D

.

Agh eeek! I just bought a house

That's the pits, huh ;) At least all mine needs is a new boiler. And some shelves building into a couple of cupboards. And completely redecoration for every room. And new kitchen units. And a new power shower. And a new roof for the entry hall.

And a bed. LOL. But I think the bed will have to wait til I bought a new car *sigh*.

Hello, Honey

'Shouldn't be any more than another couple of weeks.' That's what the builders, plumbers, and sparkies will tell you. Several times. :)

You know you are getting old when you don't have the inclination to spend all of Australia Day listening to Triple J's 'Hottest One Hundred' contemporary songs.

(I did catch the number One song though - and Number 15 and was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed both.)

I'll believe that when (& if) it happens.
She'll need a ladder, though; my bathroom is upstairs.

Bathroom? Bathroom?? BATHROOM????

When did you Brits start calling them bathrooms? I thought the term "WC" was permanently ingrained in the Queen's English and never to be changed. ;)

Not in a house, they ain't.
WC [Water Closet] is for use in Public places and Hotels & the like.

Smart people have lavatories; commoners have toilets; and everyone has a loo (or two). :)

The sign my students use if they want to go to the toilet/WC/lavatory is made by one hand: a C is made with the forefinger and thumb while the other three fingers make the W.
Try it!

:D

The modern house no longer has a separate lavatory as was once the case.
These days, the Bathroom features a Bog, Bath/shower & Sink (wash-hand basin).

It's very convenient.

Except I have to make sure I put the fluffy lined (not MY idea!) seat up when I shower! It gets 'rained upon' if I don't!
