Kate Tempest's Brand New Ancients won the 2012 Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry.
She has recently published her debut novel, The Bricks that Built the Houses, about two young women Becky and Harry.
It's set in a London which is both bleak and vibrant at the same time – a world of drugs, night clubs and a fair amount of existential despair.
