Hey, when I was a boy, I'm not sure that there was a Monsanto.

I wish I could say that. Unfortunately, I grew up 12 miles from their plant that's the international poster child for cancer-causing C8 pollution.

I really only started taking notice of Monsanto when I was studying sociology of agriculture at university.

My favorite soc/psych class was called "Social Deviance." The semester I took the course, it was taught by the president of the university. The list of categories here at Lit could have doubled as the syllabus.

It was a most interesting fourteen weeks.

No, it wasn't. In Australia. Our Professor had an international standing in Rural Sociology. I was very lucky in that regard.

Country pub...the place where you can get a cold brew, play pool with your buddies, get advice on how to fix your tractor, and the wife can get fresh milk from the bartender for the baby.

Pool. Problem with that; we don't usually have Pools associated with a country pub. The local river, canal or waterway, perhaps. . . .
Fix your Tractor. Oh, very Yes.
Fresh milk ? Highly likely, al;though I've never witnessed it.

I get the impression that the terms "Rap" and "Song" are so very different that use of the words in the same sentence makes a mockery of the language.
