Given to my sore Granddaughter to cure a bruise. . . .

Try this!

Traditional Dit Da Jow / Tieh Da Jiu, often translated as either "Fall - Hit Liniment" or "Iron Strike Liniment," is a traditional Chinese herbal remedy used to help heal bruising.

I'd have said "very nice" if some twerp hadn't said "You can't watch that".
But I found a different copy. . . ..

I also found this:- Pure magic.

My favourite video of Black Magic Woman

A bruise is a type of histological hematoma where capillaries and/or venules are ruptured and seep blood under the skin. Some liniments, or even gentle rubbing, will hasten the resorption of the blood, but actual healing will still take the same time whether or not you apply liniment.

Chinese whispers perhaps?

"By the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, King of Kings of Ethiopia, Elect of God"

A study of North African leaders during the mid-20th century revealed that one was Haile Selassie, a couple of others were slightly Selassie, and the rest were not Selassie at all. :)
