My late Mum, who often whacked Egg into the mash and bunged in Salt & Pepper etc., never called it anything other than "Mash"
I can swear, though, that it tasted good!
Dammit! Now I have this crazy craving for Bangers and Mash! And that's not exactly something you find here in the states on the menu at Denny's or Waffle House.

LOLFor something a bit more 'exotic', may I recommend bangers and polenta - with onion gravy, of course.![]()

Real Men Don't Eat Quiche

No they don't, but they might sample a scrambled egg dish on a pastry base. . .
tonight was simple: 2 boiled eggs, tops lopped off, salt and pepper, with bread soldiers.
Bangers and mash was last night btw...with mashed butternut pumpkin (drizzled with honey) and sliced steamed carrots. Mashed potato with a dollop of butter whipped in and a little black pepper. Also, is 'Land' brand pork sausages known to anyone?

Well, ya all went and done did it! Made me really hungry and that is always a dangerous thing at breakfast time. Ended up making a serious breakfast and sitting down to scrambled eggs laced with cheddar cheese; covered, smothered, and scattered hash browns; four sausage links; and two waffles drowning in butter and syrup.
About $15 and a twenty minute wait at Waffle House. Plus tip.
About $3.25 and fifteen minutes in my own kitchen. And the cats don't care if I'm eating in just my underwear so long as I tip them with tuna.

And that was supposed to be funny, as in amusing, as in provoking laughter ?
Do please advise.
