Thank you for telling me about this! I'd never heard of it before now...

After watching a few Youtube clips, I suspect that Appalachian clogging was probably derived from this, though I've always heard that it was an outgrowth of the Irish stepdance. It just looks more like this that the stepdance.

I learn something new every day.
