While I don't agree with enough positions to back him for the Presidency against Ron Paul, he doesn't sound any worse than say, Romney. He just happens to be gay and sadly stand no chance for the nomination. (Of course, there is plenty of hypocrisy on the other side of the aisle, particularly among those like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama who are equally loathe to support gay marriage.)
I like the fact that he was brave enough to say, hell with it, I'm running anyway. He certainly has the background in politics and has operated behind the scenes long enough. I say, give this man a place in the new GOP administration, even if it angers some in the religious right. He could be Secretary of State or something like that. His position on Israel is certainly reassuring enough.
