Fraggles

Canada did get Fraggle Rock, Im full blooded Canadian and saw ever episode ever on tv.

Depending on your age, Id say it was on in the VERY early '80s maybe even the late '70s. I was about 11 or so when I watched it, maybe a bit younger.

I think its cool what the doozers could do with radish dust, making all those scafolds for the fraggles to eat! lol

Early to mid 80s. Any earlier than that and i would have been too young to remember it.

I should hope so. The majority of Fraggle Rock was shot in Toronto, Canada.

Global Rock

From its very inception, Fraggle Rock was planned as an international production. The basic plot of each episode - everything that takes place in the Fraggle world or the Gorg world, for example - would be shot in Toronto by the Henson team. But when the Fraggles ventured out into what we humans would call 'the real world,' then a local producer would take over for the different language versions.

The 'real world' might be a workshop in North America, a bakery in France, or a lighthouse in Great Britain, depending on where the show was being broadcast. This meant that a number of "Docs" needed to be cast. Among them were Gerry Parks the US/Canadian Doc, Fulton Mackay, from the English co-production, who was known not as Doc but as Captain. Michael Robin from the French co-production, in which Sprocket's name, was changed to Croquette, and Hans-Helmutt Dickow, from the German co-production.

I can’t honestly say that I ever saw an episode of Fraggle Rock broadcast on television, but at one time I did see as many Fraggle Rock video tapes as I could lay my sticky paws upon.
