Fox News Power Rankings: GOP expected to take control of House

Fox News Power Rankings estimate deficit for House Democrats in November midterms

By Rémy Numa | Fox News

Republicans are forecast to take control of the House this November with at least seven seats to spare, leaving Democrats in need of a dramatic turnaround to hold on to power. This edition of the Fox News Power Rankings also unveils the U.S. House model for the first time and sees gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, carving out a slight edge in Pennsylvania.

House: Republicans take charge as the Power Rankings predict the GOP will take 225-255 seats
With redistricting completed and the bulk of the primaries behind us, the Power Rankings model now reveals a clear advantage for the GOP in the House. With 218 seats required to take control, the GOP is forecast to take 225 seats to the Democrats’ 180 seats. Those figures include only the races in which one party has an advantage. The actual size of a GOP majority will depend on how many highly competitive "toss up" races each party wins, but the Republicans are expected to gain at least a seven-seat majority (225 seats) and as much as a 37-seat majority (255 seats) in their "best case" scenario.

The range of scenarios for the Democrats leaves the party with as much as a 38-seat deficit (180 seats), or just eight shy of a majority (210 seats). That is significant. In other words, even if Democrats win all 30 races currently marked as toss-ups, the party still does not have enough support to retain control of the House.

If the republicans don’t win bigly it will be a super bigly failure after all their gerrymandering efforts and passing laws “protecting voting integrity.”

Just showing up is enough to gain when the Dems throw seats away. They would have to nominate a herd of vettemans and Engelmans to blow this.

It's really the failure of Joe Biden that will kick Nancy Pelosi's preposterous ass out of the Speaker's Office. Joe Biden doesn't know it but his hate for America will be the source of its rebirth as a freedom-loving nation.

I have no doubt that word salad made sense in your head.

You really are an insane person. You being an incel doesn't shock me.

Actually, it's simply the way politics works. The president's party almost always loses some seats in a midterm election. It rarely has any bearing on what happens in the following presidential election, and when it does, it's often to the president's benefit (because the opposition party makes its own share of new enemies once they're in the driver's seat).

He called Cheeto (to the effect) "a great man and an American patriot" the other day.

He is GAWNE gone. He ain't ever coming out of the cornfield. :D
Horror movie reboot: Old Man of the Corn

Yeah, he's lost his long battle with stupidity. Imagine the hours in a day he puts into aggregating news sites hisself since he can't figure out how Twitter, reddit, and newsfeeds work. Then, he has to make all the links pretty and bold and then regurgitate other people's bullshit here.

After all of those man-hours and hard work he puts in, he gets nothing but ridiculed and proven wrong by his own fucking links for the rest of the day.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

So it’s not the fact that the Democrats hold the majority, and the Presidency, and they still haven’t accomplished anything. How many campaign promises have been kept?
Did Biden and the Democrats codify Roe vs Wade?
-We got out of Afghanistan only to proxy war with Russia in Ukraine, and we stepped up bombings in Somalia.
-Still aiding the Saudis to commit a genocide in Yemen.
-we still have money for endless wars that make Defense contractors filthy rich
-The money in Ukraine could’ve ended homelessness in the US.
-Inflation is still going up and paychecks aren’t.
-People are so desperate they will vote for Republican, the party that has continually stabbed them in the back for the last 40yrs.
The Dems are now the party of Wall Street and are in the pockets of big Pharma and Miltary Industrial Complex

Here’s something for you all to consider. Change. Good change will not take place supporting any of these parties. Quit doing it. The Democrats get more Republican policies passed as laws than the Republicans do. Why? Because they are Republicans!

It's not that so much as the reason why they "haven't accomplished anything": the Republicans in the Senate, with an assist from Manchin and Sinema, have blocked just about everything.

They're doing their best to.

We got out of Afghanistan. After 20 years and countless deaths that didn't really change anything. And the Russians getting their asses handed to them in Ukraine is a good thing for us.
-The money in Ukraine could’ve ended homelessness in the US.
So could the money the Republicans have been throwing away on tax cuts for the rich for decades.
-Inflation is still going up and paychecks aren’t.
Because the Republicans have blocked any and all efforts for any sort of living wage law, and inflation is up all over the world.
-People are so desperate they will vote for Republican, the party that has continually stabbed them in the back for the last 40yrs.
It's not that they're desperate, it's that they're bigots.

Yes, we understand that those evil R's in the Senate, which is controlled by the D's as are both the House and the White House, are the problem in why bills can't get passed.

Oh wait, it's not the R's, it's those 2 DEMOCRATS who are the problem.

But according to you, it's the R's. Really. It is.

We have never been in a political situation like we are experiencing now, not ever. History is about to be made.

Republicans like to bitch and complain about military spending and how it can be used to end homelessness when the other guy is in office, but if anyone ever actually tried that they would be labelled a commie and a socialist.

Just stop whining and get a gun.
