Okay...so when I am not watching anything...busy pecking away or pacing and plotting, I have Fox news on.

So sue me.

What with the 1/2 hour news hour on Fox, that I previewed in another thread, Fox executives seem hell bent on entering the comedy venue with yet another foray, "Red Eye", which comes on at 11 pm my time, a happy replacement for reruns of Greta, and /or O'reilly, whom I really destest.

The first time I heard the show on in the background, "Gag a maggot", was my general response...but...sighs...that time slot seems to be mostly vacant and I have now seen two more episodes. And although I am not current with contemporary, Britney Spears, Anna Nicole, Angelina Jolie, fan fiction, pop art crap, I did find myself watching and chuckling at the program.

anyone?

I've seen it. Although it's not terrible, it's not my cup of tea. Because of my schedule, I like the late night reruns (it really pisses me off that MSNBC moved Olberman earlier...he was my favorite to watch). Greta is the best show to watch if you want the legal analysis of a dispute. The group of lawyers/judges she gets together are very knowledgeable and she gets a good balance of ideologies.

I like O'Reilly (and I don't care if anyone wants to sue me or not). In RL, I'm guessing he's a complete jag-off, but his show covers some interesting topics. He doesn't just bring in people who agree with him (evidently, he's the only one who understands it's more interesting to actually watch people debate ideas instead of stroking each other or screaming at each other), he's not too confrontational when people have opposing views (at least not compared to the competition), and I love Dennis Miller's segment. I know he's the big guy to hate for Left-leaning people, but he's not nearly as much an idealogue as a Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity (of course that's kind of a backhanded compliment ;) ). I don't see any of these programs as anything other than entertainment (kind of a less funny Jon Stewart show). Anyone getting their news from any talk show host is in need of a reality check.

I haven't seen it. If I'm up at 11 I'll usually watch the Daily Show followed by the Cobert Report - get as much info there as from any of those shows, with more laughs. On second thought the other shows are laughable as well. (Bill Maher's a good time too if you haven't seen him on HBO.)
