For too long now (before Mahomes) all the Chiefs ever did was break my heart...

he did, but as I said in the other thread, I think that was as much a result of the Buc's running game, and their defense, more so than Brady himself. Their running game chewed up yards and time of possession and were almost unstoppable as far as keeping drives going, while their defense held Mahomes to just 3 field goals.

I would asterisk that to say, of the modern era.

It's hard to compare players now, with players then because the rules have changed so much. How would Brady fare if he was getting the snot knocked out of him every other play? ...even if he didn't have the ball.

The message came at around 11:00 p.m. ET, which seems to be past Brady’s usual bedtime. Regardless, it came. And through repetition it reinforced a confidence that, by all appearances, morphed into something that made the 31-9 outcome a lot easier to achieve than anyone ever would have dreamed.

Regardless, Brady’s plan worked. His presence and confidence morphed into a mandate that his teammates executed and honored.

Tampa had a great defensive game plan. I am sure Jacksonville is wondering why Fournette wasn't running for them like he has been since coming to Tampa. Brady and Gronk have now hooked up for the most TD's in playoff history.
 
Mahomes got a lesson from the master...prof..Brady.....he won’t forget...
