Storm Clouds
Storm Clouds
Storm clouds brewing, blocking the sunlight,
Darkness descends just like the night.
A stillness before lightening strikes overhead,
A deafening crash enough to waken the dead.
No birdsong to be heard in this raging storm,
Just thunder rumbling, not knowing if its dusk or dawn,
Lightening putting on a spectacular show,
As it leaps from cloud to cloud leaving a glow.
Rain in torrents cascades like a huge waterfall,
Mist raising from the ground covering all..
Water gushing from gutters to drains,
Like rivers flooding some distant planes.
Suddenly in the clouds there is a break,
Blue sky and sun an appearance to make.
No sooner had it come than the storm had gone,
Once again birds come out in song.

The cloud formations at sunup are breathtaking, and that time
right b4 a golly whopping rain ... leaves me speechless. Tuned in,
on and turned all tha way up !! I can never do it justice
with mere words ...
