If you were a pic poster here on Lit, and you showed your face or other distinguishing mark (tattoo, etc.) how would you handle being found out by a family member or friend? What would shock you more, knowing your "secret" was out? or knowing a friend/family member had similar interests?

I'm just curious because I've seen a pic of a guy who is someone that I know casually and that we have mutual friends. Needless to say, this is quite a shock (never expected it) and I'm not sure how to handle it because I know I'll never be able to look at him the same way.

Just wondering others opinions/experiences.

I'm not sure. Part of me might be a little embarassed at first, but then I think I would realize that they were here too. :D I know that I have sent links to a couple friends for here and have told them I post pics up front, but then again they were guys that had been a little closer than normal friends at one point in time most likely.

I'm not sure what I would do in your case either though. It's a tough call. Do you bring it up to him? Do you keep quiet? Will you be able to do either of these without making the casual friendship go sour? Would it be better to say something? Maybe it will bring you closer with him.

Good luck on figuring this one out.

Why air it out? You saw his stuff here but obviously you're here too. So if you confront him with it, he'll know you're here too. It's not that big a deal but no need to be broadcasting it to everyone. So you know... it doesn't need to be aired out.

it would depend on who...

I think most people here are pretty cool, or at least decent folks. Only if I had been found out by a troll who decided to try and embarass me would it suck....

I've posted my face, but not for long, and sketches and drawings and enough about me over the past year or so that I could be found by people at lit - but who'd want to bother? They can just pm me if they want to say hey and get to know me better.

Go ahead and look at him differently. If you give him a knowing smile it might drive him crazy.

Knowing something and acting on it are two differet things. Yes, I see a person differently when I know more about them, but I very seldom delibertly do something different or out of the ordinary just because I found out something about that person.

I agree...what good would it do to mention it to him? You would just be revealing your own activities. If he had posted his face or other identifying information, like a tattoo, then think about it...he KNOWS what he is doing. He knows he could get caught posting on here. So, who would stand the most embarrassment...him, who has obviously made no secret of it...or you?

Just let it go. Enjoy his pics and let it go. :)

Hmmmm.......Interesting responses.

Almost everyone of you have answered this question as if Funinmd were a female.

Did, or do any of you know that they are indeed female, or did you do any search of there past posts to find out if they are indeed female?

Just wondering :D

I am female and I have introduced several of my family members to Lit. I know their screennames here and we do on occasion post in the same threads. I don't have a problem with it.

I don't see that anyone was responding as thought they assumed funinmd was female, where'd ya get that from? They were responding as though it was themselves in that position.

My first question, if anyone I knew told me they recognised me from here would be "So, which one of my stories did ya like best?"

pretty much everyone i know, knows i visit this site.

the way i see it, this is just another thing i do. it doesn't define me as a person, so why should i be embarrassed or ashamed about it?

You've seen this guy on Lit, specifically? PM me and tell me who it is :)

There have been some very graphic pics of my fucking myself with an 8x5 dildo on Lit - and I mean closeups and flash. They're gone now, but I would have been humiliated had anyone I know seen them.

I have two real-life gay friends - one in NYC and one in Ft Lauderdale - who mess around with ICU and gay personals sites, but they usually start with face and move to more explicit if they hit it off with somebody. I'm the opposite. I would hate to run into either of them, but they know that I do this.

Just recently I decided I don't care though. I told them about meeting guys on AFF recently, and they can easily find my ad (guyguy71) if they are twisted enough to look for it, but I decided that my add is nothing to be ashamed of. Even though I have been getting some action lately, they are both much sluttier than me :)

Oh, and I just recognized someone with whom I used to work in school. I let him know and he wanted to get together. Interestingly, I probably would have based on the pics, which weren't secretive at all about any part of his body including face, but, knowing him in real life, I know that I am not attracted to him. Hmmmm ...

It's how I met my boyfriend...

I had a Yahoo group that I thought I could control membership so that nobody I knew joined. Wrong. A guy at work used a different city in his profile.

He blackmailed a blowjob from me, threatening to tell my husband, boss, etc. Many blowjobs later, we've been together for five years.

In the end, I'm glad he found out.

I thought I responded to the query regardless of the person's gender. Either way I didn't think it mattered.

To me, it'd be like finding out your dad's stash of porn. You don't confront him with it do you?? You just go along with it and never bring it up. Besides the second you open your mouth and out them, you'd be petty and a gossip.

You're with someone that coerced, blackmailed & threatened you??

Those who know the extent of my hormones' control over me know I come to this site. Those who don't, would never guess it. I'm the last person most would expect to come here, so I'm pretty safe. If someone who knew me did find me here, I doubt they'd 'confront' me about it for a while. The shock would have to wear through them first. On the other hand, if I found someone I know on here, I'd talk immediately. I've been trying to convince my friends to join, but to no avail as of yet.

Looking back, I initially read UnseenChagrins post (specifically the second paragraph) as it would be directed towards a female. I look back at it now and read it differently, That is neutral now that i re-read it.
ReadyOnes post with the "give him a knowing smile" line, well..... :D
