All kinds of things. Spiders, ladders, and escalators for a few. I think I'm the only person out there that is afraid of an escalator. Heh.

Nah, someone else probably has that phobia too.

Spiders & ladders - that reminds me of the tree house I had as a kid. One ladder, that is. Many spiders. One of my favorite places on earth.

Did you play outside much?

Alot actually I did. I used to love spiders. But I think it was when my grandpa had to get his feet cut off because of a brown recluse that I started to hate them/fear them. And the ladders was because I got to watch my sister fall off of one, hit a car then the cement. Yay. But yeah, I used to play outside alot when I was a kid. We had this one big ol dump truck out front for awhile. We would climb up it, and then jump off into this giant pile of dirt.

My sweetie has the spider thing. I'm fine with them as long as they're not really really poisonous or really really oversized.

I'm terrified of flying. Which, after the last round of revelations about FAA inspections makes me feel vindicated as not totally insane.

I don't know if I'm afraid of escalators, but I'm afraid of heights. When I take escalators I most times cover my eyes - seeing down will make me dizzy. And where the escalator goes in kinda gives me the creeps.

I'm afraid of flying, too, but that really ties into the whole heights thing. I know that you are more likely to die on the freeway than on a plane, but I'd rather die FIRMLY on the ground than falling thousands of feet from the air.

Totally.

Someone I forget who, wrote that, rather than an irrational fear, fear of flying in a plane is the one totally RATIONAL fear.

Makes sense to me.

The last time I flew was to go out and see K after he graduated from basic training. I was taking some of the sedatives I had for the trip and the guy next to me said 'you're not driving when you get there, are you?' LOL

The funniest part is he'd spent the whole trip doing shots of cheap liquor. I think I'd have been safer on the road than him. But he wasn't driving when he got there, either.

Damn, that's some bad luck right there. Sorry about your grandpa and sister.

Can't say I ever had a chance to play on construction equipment. Sounds awesome, though.

Hahaha. The first time I flew on an airplane. When the stewardess was telling about all of the safty. I couldn't help it and burst out laughing. "If we happen to crash in an ocean, you can use you seat as a flotation device". I was like yeah, were flying over 400 miles of desert, if we hit an ocean were fucked. Then she was telling us about the proper position if were going to crash. I could only think, "Assume the position slave". Then I just had to comment, "I'm not afraid of flying in an airplane at 40,000 feet. I'm afraid of being 40,000 feet in the air and suddenly not flying". Greatest experience I had had for awhile. But on the way home it sucked. I have nothing agianst big people or fat people. Considering I am one myself kinda. But this guy gets on the plane, he weighs 600 pounds. Then a second one gets on and he's 400 pounds. I was supposed to sit between them. No way in hell I was going to be able to fit between them in a 3 seet section when the first guy took 3 seets. So finally the stewardess bumped me to First Class. Because there were no other seets. :D

There's all this roadwork on these little idyllic sidestreets near me lately. You have no idea how badly I want to hop into a Komatsu and play Bob the Builder.

Oh, thanks. That makes me feel SO much better. :p

And I don't see why people are afraid of things small enough to be stepped on. And when we lived in an area that had nasty spiders we just bombed under the house twice a year. Worked like a charm.

Heh. Yeah I'm just sitting around listening to various Daft Punk songs. Yay Internet. I know what you mean about being bored. I come onto the forums at all times of the days. I'm lucky if I get hit by a time that people are actually on. So. We can just entertain each other?

LOL yeah...most of the people I do group chat with here are already in bed...:(

Yeah we can entertain each other... what did you have in mind?

No idea. But at least were chatting. Heck I went to Lit chat and didn't get this much of a responce. :)
