Even adding - in bed - doesn't make this one work for me.
I lost faith in fortune cookies which had at times been a fun thing I used dately. But one said I'd take a trip across the ocean, just when I'd tried out for the first season of Survivor. Yes! No. It never happened.

You know, I have the worst luck with fortune cookies.
A few that easily come to mind...
"Your judgement is off at this time"
"Now is not the way"
"Someone close to you is lucky"
"Relationships changing on different roads"
I tried letting other people pick them for me, or waiting to take the last cookie, but still I get the odd one every time. I guess it is fortunate I don't rely on cookies in a spiritual way.

You tried out for Survivor? Really? Holy Crap. I would defintely have watch an entire season if you were on it. I wonder... what would be the first thing you purchased with your winning?

Opening a cookie this weekend with someone with whom I'm very smitten, it said:
"Your love life will improve."
Just before we opened it, he said "you have to tack 'in bed' on the end."
So the fortune is "Your love life will improve in bed." We looked at each other and said, almost simultaneously, "already has."

Yes, this is so true, but somewhat vauge even for a randomly selected universal thought... and it does not feel a fortunate thing, this waiting game. Is this reminding me to have patience for what I am already waiting for? Because I knew that already, and I don't have many other options...so that isn't "telling" me much. Or is it fortelling that I will have more waiting in the future, cause no thanks to that... this has been a year of waiting already.
I will agree though that to one who waits, a moment seems a year in bed . For being fairly tall you would think I would have more patience, but alas, no... that is one area I tend to run short when it is something I really, really want.

Back over a year ago when I had a hair more fluid cash I would now and then order out Chinese for lunch for my supervisor, some of my help and I at work. We are sitting there one day eating, and my supervisor opens his fortune cookie and just stares at it. I look over at him, "Hey Brett, what's wrong?" There is a Pause, "Well..." He then starts to giggle. Finally he says, "It says My sexual prowess will get a boost tonight with an unexpected surprise."
Well we all broke out laughing because we know his wife isn't kinky and she's also one for making him sit there wanting and she's not giving. No wonder the guy acts sex starved at times, because he is!
So the rest of the day we kidded him about that one.
