This makes him now halfway to EGOT status.

The former president won his first Emmy in the outstanding narrator category for Our Great National Parks, beating the likes of David Attenborough and W.Kamau Bell. To beat David Attenborough is a thing in itself all alone

It makes him the second president to ever win an Emmy, after Dwight Eisenhower was awarded a prize while in office in 1956.

Obama has won two Grammys, one in 2006, and a second in 2008, both in the spoken word category.

It means he would now need to win an Oscar and a Tony to complete the coveted EGOT.
