Format Q

I haven't submitted work in the last month, so there might be some sort of change that I am unaware of, but I just tried to submit a story with html—regular codes like italics, centering, and bold. In preview I saw the actual code and not the end result.

I thought it was my codes at first so I tried with a short poem with a few italics and had the same thing happen.

So what's up?

TIA

I haven't submitted anything in a long time either. You are using <> and not [] aren't you?

Yup... sure am. :)

Is it that new language feature that Laurel/Manu put up the last week or so that is interferring?

I actually have an email request in on this topic. I could not get some codes to work recently either, and have asked if there is a summary somewhere of what's available and how to use them. No response yet.

Damn it... I've been working on this story the last month or so.

lol I don't want to have to wait any longer to post it.

what sort of codes did you use that didn't work?

Obvisouly a bug some were as I've used text positioning/spacing codes and didn't have a problem with it before

any way :)

thanks

Move over folks... I'm in the same boat. <i> and <b> no longer seem to work for me. So neo... 'tain't you!

By the way, (assuming that the codifiers are simply not working right now), what is the code for indentation? I only seem to get it right about 20% of the time, when the system accepts my original text. (I never get to see the indentation in preivew).

There seems to be another bug. When I'm leaving a PC, I notice that some of my words have spaces after I post my comment. Like: com ment. And I see that other recent PC is the same way. So, maybe it's the entire system.

Yep- I've noticed that too in my PC's. Ghost in the Machine.

To indent I use & n b s p ; without the spaces between the letters. It indents one space for each of those code combinations you use.

I have always seen the indention in preview when I used this.

Thank, Jim. I'll try that next time, through for heavily indented poems, that's a lot of cut & paste!

There indeed seem to be some glitches in the overall system. The stuff I posted earlier this week have votes and comments... but neither of them have a single read! (Now, that's one clever-ass trick!).

And Tath... Did you notice, my friend, that they were talking about YOUR head?

No. Too much sugar in chocolate and too many carbs in crackers. Sorry, but I'm just back form my power walk and feeling the need for some tofu.

I pm'd Laurel yesterday afternoon, informing her about the HTML tag problem and this "what the hell html" thread. I haven't heard from her yet, but then again she hasn't even picked up her pm either.

I let ya'll know what's up as soon as I do

"Need" is a powerful word. It reflects the drive for survival and sustenance coded in ancient cellular scripts. We need the things that burn in our metabolic furnaces: Oxygen. Protein. Water. We need sleep. We need creative release. We need love and affection. We can even need a blowjob or a good spanking.

I have, over the course of my life, needed many things.

But I have never needed tofu.
