Hello everyone,

I thought it would be a good idea for me to introduce myself formally to those of you who don't already know me.

Born Canada, 1967, Chantal dropped out of Medical School when she took a vacation in Paris. Seduced by the atmosphere, she stayed on, illegally, eking out a modest living from entertaining the tourists as a street mime performer, before becoming a Can-Can dancer at the Follies Bergères.
Following the scandal that ended the political ambitions of the Deputy Mayor, Chantal was deported.
Returning to her native Montreal, she founded her own clinic, from which she dispenses medical advice and counselling services.
She lives with her two children and her husband….make that three children.

But seriously……

Born Quebec, 1967, Chantal (aka LadyCibelle) is bilingual, having self-taught English.
She developed a love of reading at an early age and is often to be found absorbed in a book.
She studied Criminology and Psychology at Concordia University, Montreal and became a freelance researcher, while raising her children.
Chantal has been editing since 2003 and has several professional writers in her stable, including a syndicated newspaper columnist.
She lives in Montreal with her husband and two children.

I've edited more over 275 stories and worked with more than 90 writers so far. You'll be able to find me here very often so don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or problems.

Congratulations are in order

I just got the E-mail announcing you are now the Moderator of the Editor's Forum (where in heck SHOULD that apostrophe go, anyway?), and apparently you made the above post while I was reading some other threads after clicking on the hyperlink in your message. With any luck, I will be the first person to congratulate you, and with any luck, many more will follow me.

You are a wonderful editor and an even better person.

Thank you Cap_Mid it's very nice of you to say so...but sucking up to me won't get you farther than you already are:p

Sucking up to you?

Damn, didn't mean to do that (sucking up) ... recalled someone else using that description (of a third party) and thought I'd use it. I'm very candid and always believe "if you can't say something nice about someone ...".

Still, glad for you ... I always root for people I like.

I will echo my congratulations from my thread. Although I have not been around here for very long, I have been here long enough to know that under your leadership the Editor's Forum will be going places.

Well done fair lady on your well deserved appointment.

Thank you LK:kiss:

It's nice of you to say all those things but it's also very nice to know that you mean them all and that they aren't empty words ;)

Don't you ever SLEEP, young lady?

I can call you young lady because you're six years younger than me.

You posted at 2 in the morning and then at 7:30 in the morning? Either you were very worried or ecstatically happy.

I have erratic sleeping patterns too, but it's due to illness at this point. I need a lot more sleep than most people, and I get it in fits and starts.

I actually didn't realize that was a joke. I thought I actually had offended you in some way. I was hoping the frog icon indicated you weren't mad at me. :)

I haven't read Lonely Knight's work yet ... am looking forward to it! He posted his congratulations on another thread, so he got the honors of congratulating you first. Good for him. Lonely Knight, if you read this, will you post and tell us what we can expect?

All the best,

Captain Midnight;) ;) ;) ;)

Time change

Dear LadyCibelle:

You posted at five-thirty in the morning? (The posting times are Pacific Standard Time, three hours behind you, so I guess wrong on your last post.) Was your husband awake in the interim? I hope he was ... and your children weren't!

I wonder to a lot of people have trouble sleeping. I try to force myself to sleep, but I end up wide awake a couple hours later. I come here to do some reading until I tire myself back to sleep.

I am not certain what you are requesting. All I can say is that is the short time I have known LC she has proven that she is what she claims to be. She has made reference to some things she would like to see here in the forum in other threads, all things I believe will make it better than it already is.

Skyscrapers, if not built on a strong foundation, will one day fall. Editing is a means to make the Lit foundation stronger and stronger. The increase in quality will grow exponentially. That will be good for all of us here.

To Lonely Knight

All I meant was I'm looking forward to reading your stories. I wanted to know when you expect them to be posted and what categories you will use, so I can read them ASAP.

Ahhh, sorry. I have but on posted thus far and you can reach it by clicking on the link in my Signature Line. Another will be submitted tomorrow. I look forward to your comments.

My Children ;)

Hello all,

Allow me to call you all my children, you whom I know and you whom I don't know yet...you are all important to me in your own ways.

CapMid: Nope wasn't angry at you at all....quite the contrary I was laughing when I wrote the "sucking up" comment :) Had lots of trouble sleeping, I was much too excited to sleep. Went to bed at 3h am (my time) and got up at 9h30am.

So much to do, so little time.

LK: I think what CapMid meant is that he wanted to know when people would be able to read your stories.

Snakey baby;) : Awww how sweet of you to call me a Goddess.

Artistca: Last but not least, YOUR help and support will be invaluable to me.

Oooh. Changes changes...

KM's sort of a legend in Lit (I think) but she has (mostly) been absent for a long time.

Welcome to the high chair LC. :)

Thank you very much. I'll try to do as good a job as KM did!
I know I have big shoes to fill but I'll do my best...and then some:)

Congratulations Chantal. I agree the Editors list is somewhat wanting and could use an overhaul to update it. The alternative editor list should help to resolve it...

Good luck and best wishes
Sandy
