Fran:

"Hey, you said 'leave me be until six' well, its still a quarter till. Anyway, I just don't get the whole 'meditation' thingie... You call it finding your center, I call it being lasy." Fran griped as she slipped, ghostilly through the roof, sticking her tongue out at him just before disapearing below, to wait for him. When he came, she looked over at him from where she stood, looking out a window. "So, where are we going? A crime scene? Did someone die? Because I might be able to talk to them or something." Fran piped up as she watch him cross the room, dressing as he went.

Jon Wolf

He Slightly Smiled As She Rambled on Like She Dose A lot. " No No Crim scene Yet Were Going To The Morge to Mete the Others Or Other , Or What ever. Any Way Dont you Want to Say Hi to Doctor Joe He is One Of the Few Humans that Can See you." He Finished dressing As He told her This He Than Oppend The Door For Her As She walked out of the Apartment He
"yea If I Didn't Meditat Id turn back in to The Monster that Made you the Beautifull Ghost you are to Day." Thay than left to go to the Morge to See Joe.

Fran:

"Oooh, do we have to see him? He always look at me funny... Like I've got something on my face, or like I'm, oh, I don't know... DEAD?" Fran was being coy and sarcastic like she always was when she had to do something she really didn't want to.

She cocked her head to the side reading the sign of the New York Morge. She grinned as she looked to Meidus. He was a beautiful sleek crow. Her familiar. Kalinia fluffed her feathers and cleaned herself before flying to the shadows in an nearby alley. When she came out, she was in human form again. Short black spikey hair, black eyes, pale skin, and black clothes of course.

Meidus flew down onto her shoulder and then they entered the Morge. She went to a desk noticing no one around. She rang a small bell and waited for answer to come. Hopefully soon, she hated to wait.

Jon Wolf / Joe Conner

Joe

joe heard the bell ring. He worked alone it was easser for him that way. It was the friend he had and kept that made him like working alone. Freinds like Nick, Jon, Kalinia ,and others like them. joe walked out of the back wearing his Useual lab Cote And medical scrubs. He was a short hevie set man midel aged curly hair Classes a rell dork But the man was smart and a good man he looked dorky but wasnt. at all. He looked up as he enterd the front room. "Kalinia, How you been, Thanks for comeing ... Why dont we head to the back Another buddy af mine is on his way."

Jom

John And Fran Pulled up to the morgue In his vintage 56 Corvete Convertable black with red trim. He got out of the car And walked in he didnt ring the bell he just headed to the back. Yo joe So who you got to help me ." Sudenly he was stoped dead in his tracks By the beauty Of Woman in front of him. "K--Kalinia, Your my help?"

Kalinia's eyes moved to look straight into Jon's eyes, "Apparently so. You look good."

Meidus looked between the two and asked,

Hmmm this shall be interesting

"Meidus you really should stay quiet sometimes. Ok so," she gave Jon another look up and down, "What we here to do? Find Nick?"

Rusty always grabbed for sleep. Each day twisted into the last, filled with insomnia and cat naps that never let his brain settle. He ran around like a man on crack, bloodshot eyes, constant pains and headaches. Chewing aspirin became his only meals, tiny little solices in the shit heap he called his life.
God, it had been so much different. Amazing how just a few months could change a man.
Tonight, though. Tonight he got some rest. Maybe the constant running had turned into some sort of perverted routine, and his guard let down, or possibly the hotel room he had broken into just had the softest beds imaginable. He hadn't slept in a bed like that since too long ago.
It was nice.
He woke up, with a bloody nose, and the skyline already pitch black.
At first, Rusty only felt the nirvana of waking up, the cause of the world coming back to him only in small dosages. His hand reached to his side, almost expecting her to be there, sleeping soundlessly next to him, but it just touched a pillow.
As life came spinning back, Rusty leaped up, aware of just how late it was. Night time. No, he had overslept. What happened? He should have woken up hours ago, to prepare. He had to run away.
Two red droplets fell from his nose, staining his shirt. He nearly screamed, running into the bathroom the clean them off. The blood, no. Not blood, anything but blood.
She was like a shark.
He tore the shirt off, dousing it in water. Toilet paper torn off, to plug up his nostril, and when he walked back to the bed, he ripped up all the sheets and put them in the middle of the floor to burn.
She couldn't smell him, she couldn't find him here. No.
He didn't prepare.
Damnit!
He should have prepared.
"God, please..." the cloth burned better than expected, leaving a horrible stain for the maids to find in the morning. Rusty looked at the window, the city beyond lighting up against the darkness that enclosed it. Rusty thought, for just a moment he saw her face against the pain. He screamed, for the second time that night, ready to leave now.
Without so much as a shirt, or fixing himself up, Rusty ran from the room, down the hall, and to where he thought the elevators were.
She was coming.

Fran:

Seeing Joe give her 'the look' fran mocked him. "Booga booga to you too." She said sarcastically.

Standing there, in silence, invisible to everyone, as always, save for John, and the doc. She noticed John's reaction to the woman and suddenly felt invisible to even him. She didn't like it, not one bit, and the woman... "You look good..." She repeated, snidely mocking Medius, making a face as she did, crossing her arms with a silent 'harumph' sound.

Jon

"well Yes I think that the main thing but it seems thers Acase Ibeing Assinged to where Some girls have been misterasly killd and its Right up our ally . you Being A Crow Dead and All And me being A Wear wolf. You see So far the two girls Have Been Found With their Blood being draind from them." He shot fran an irritated look as she mocked Kalinia " Butt first i thought we might see what we could fined at Nicks Place."

Misty

She stood in the alley, her back to the opening. Her hands clutching her latest meal to her tightly. She feasted until he was empty and groaned with pleasure but it was short lived. She still felt the hunger inside her. It still burned brightly within, barely contained. Since her 'birth' she had not fed enough and nightly, she hunted.
She released the bum, letting his body crumble into a heap at her feet. Licking her lips clean, she turned and began walking again. She had tonight to herself, as she did most every night, it was time to go speak with Rusty, again.
Each step was silent, her heels barely touching the ground as she walked along. She picked up his scent earlier and knew he was close. Perhaps tonight he would listen to her? Understand? She doubted it, but she had plenty of patience. She now had eternity to hunt Rusty, plenty of time.
She paused, her cell vibrating in her pocket. Answering, she listened to her boss, saying nothing until he was done ranting at her.
"He was captured, I did my end of the bargain. Pay up..." She left the 'or else' hanging in the air. Hanging up, she pushed it back into the deep pocket of her leather trench coat and continued on her way. She felt a little unhappy with his demands that she move Nick again, but she was on her own hunt. His could wait, when it became important to her, she'd comply.
She could almost hear him, smell him. His scent lingered heavily on the air. She smiled, brushing her hair back off her shoulder and moving quickly between the buildings. She paused, silent and still as death, she blended into the shadows and watched the street.
"Oh my love, I will have you soon enough.. Show you that being as I am is not as bad as it seems." She spoke with her mind, hoping he could pick up on her. Since she did not stand face to face with him, her words could be nothing but comfort to herself.
He was near by, but where? Her eyes scanned the buildings, watching and waiting.

"Okay, let's go to Nick's place," she said not able to hear the mocking voice. She turned to go.

"Are we going or not?" She walked out of the door and outside.

"Where ARE we going anyway, John?" Fran asked as she hovered nearer to him.

Inside the elevator, Rusty didn't even want to know what the elderly couple thought of him. No shirt, dried blood caking part of his face in hardened dirt patches he hadn't got clean. A wad of toilet paper crammed up his nose, and a trail of soaked up blood, dripping down on the carpeted elevator as it went down floor by floor.
Disheveled hair, bright and red, but tangled and puffing out in a hundred different directions. It was bed hair, which he hadn't even had a chance to run a comb through. He didn't have a chance to do much of anything.
God knows what he smells like.
When the elevator dropped to the lobby, Rusty made a break for it. A huge room with ceilings four stories high, and bumbling with people going in or checking out.
Rusty ran through them all, trying not to hear the scramble and gawks as decent human beings trying to get on with their lives looked at him, at what he had become.
Rusty didn't see that, he just ran out as fast as possible, getting to the street.
He hailed for a taxi, got in it, and asked the man to drive... just drive.
With any luck, he could spend an hour in this cab, and not have any worry from her. She couldn't find him in a cab, could she?
Could she?

Jon

" China Town, Fran China town" He stated cryptically knowing that she hated it when he was vague. he than tuned to kanila "Shall we ?" he Ask Kalinia As They Both walked out and headed to his corvette. He rev ed the engine As they pilled out of the parking lot he was shamelessly showing of for Kalinia. He usually didn't hit on woman that often mainly because of what he was. Course the last woman he hit on was Fran when he was first bit and changed . He ended up riping her stumec out. But Kalinia is different She is A Crow . Sure shes dead but she was Spirit with Flesh. Speaking of her being A crow he wondered how did Joe get her to come and help She was crow a creature of emotion particularly Anger, grief, and vengeance. Soon they arrived at Nicks Home . it was an old Chinese theater They walked in Nick Began to Scan the room

" Why dont we split up and see what we find ?" He asked generally Than headed toward the back room

Misty

She moved with ease, grabbing a passing man free of his motorcycle and letting him fall where he may. She jumped on the bike and began to follow Rusty's cab.

"Ah, you think to flee!" She smiled, she did love a good chase. She wove in and out of traffic, following silently and at a distance behind. She had some words to say to him, and he was going to listen one way or another. He had to listen!

She sat just two cars behind the cab at a light, watching and waiting. The next light it was only them. Leaping off of the motorcycle, she ripped open the front door of the cab and yanked out the driver. Jumping inside, she stomped on it, running the red light and tearing off towards the furthest outskirts of the city.

"Hello Rusty." She spoke to him through the mesh covered opening, with a very self satisfied grin on her face.

Fran:

Fran gave Jon a look of annoyance, he knew it bugged her to no end, his constant vaguity about any case he took. And it didn't help her mood any that he was blatently hitting on the girl. Once there, and Jon had told them to split up, Fran shrugged. "Fine, we'll split up Fred, you can go with Daphne, I'll just stick with Scoob." She was apparently unhappy, but she slipped through the buildings wall, and started to snoop around for anything that Jon would find useful to know.

The first thought that ran through his mind was to panic, and the second and third which followed were along the same lines. Synapses which were supposed to fire in this type of situation, bringing him all sorts of clever little ways to get out, had shut down for the evening. His brain would like to apologize, but make it up to him tomorrow.
Rusty didn't move until she was already inside, driving the cab down the street. At that time, he tried for both of the doors. Each one was locked. If Rusty's brain had been on the ball, he might have known most cabbie's lock the doors until they pay the fare. He was trapped... trapped.
Rusty sat there, looking up at her. She had found him, like he knew she would, like he feared that she would. The blood, damnit. He had slept in, gotten a bloody nose, and now she was here, ready for him.
The soiled tissue was still up his nose. He took it out, putting it on the floor. There, he noticed something. A small umbrella. Something another passenger had left on their way to work or home. It was nothing to them, a little cheap thing, but to him, it might just save his life.
"... Hey. Hey Misty," His voice was weak and distant, it was like he was talking to the executioner right before it was time, "I haven't seen you in a while. How... how have you been?"
His hand went down to grasp the handle of it, holding it to the back seat so she couldn't see it. Maybe, if he bought some time.... just maybe.

Misty

She ignored the vibrating in her pocket, her boss would wait, Rusty wouldn't. She eyed each street she drove down, looking for somewhere a little remote without running the car out of gas. Finally she settled for the old slums, now withered old buildings and hollow shells of a once flourishing area in the 40's. She pulled the car behind a half decomposed building and shut it off.

"Hello Love." She smiled into the rearview mirror, "I have missed you." She would not mention the fact that he was the reason it had been awhile. Nor would she point fingers at him for fleeing her constantly. She loved him, and for that, she could forgive anything.. Even his unreasonable behavioral patterns.

She turned in the seat, her smile widening as she gazed at him. Her eyes hungered for the sight of him, the curve of his lips, the contrasting pale skin against his darker eyes. She felt her heart flutter a bit and turned fully to look at him through the grate.

"You look wonderful." She said and meant, she refused to acknowledge he looked like hell. He was perfect in her eyes, and again, that was good enough for her.

"I thought perhaps you might wish to sit and chat with me? Just for awhile." her hands moved to grip the cage, her fingers sliding through and hooking the metal. "I have missed you terribly Rusty!" She longed to climb back there with him, remove this obstruction, feel him against her! She sighed, her smile faltering a little, but still lingering. Perhaps this time he would listen to her? Trust her enough so that she may touch him.

Kalinia nodded to Jon and looked around the building, Meidus on her shoulder. She didn't need a flashlight or anything. If it was dark Meidus would see and therefor she could too. She didn't find anything too interesting so she went back in search of where Jon wondered off. Did ever guy get lost?

The handle of the umbrella was made from something hard, much harder than plastic. It was a metal of some kind, strong. It was as heavy and as useful as a rock in his hands. He thought he could use it several ways,
Now that panic had taken a back seat, his brain began firing out solutions to this problem once more. He could just hit her, maybe knock her out, or beat her up long enough to run. That was a possibility. He didn't think he could hit her, but if she got him out of his car, if she went near him with those... those fangs.
A shiver went down his spine.
He could do it. He'd have to do it.
The second plan he liked better though. Take out one of the windows. Smash it to pieces, and just jump out, begin running as far and as fast as he could. He ran from her before. She was stronger, and faster, but he had run. If he could just stay on his feet, everything would be fine.
"Misty, Misty," He spoke with a shiver, unable to control that, but also determined not to leave this. He could keep her talking for a time. She stayed on her side, he stayed on his. Everything would be fine.
"I missed you too. I've missed you terribly. Haven't had a decent night's sleep since you left."
That part had been true though. He did miss her, and he hadn't had much sleep at all. She had made sure that never happened.
"You almost had me back at the apartment, didn't you? That was close," He laughed, tears threatening to pour from his eyes. Death stared him in the face, and it wore his fiance's skin.
"What do you want Misty? I'm here... to talk. We can talk, Misty. What do you want?"

Misty

She listened to his heart beating, could hear it thumping madly in his chest, the smell of fear and sweat lingered in the air around him. She sighed, shifting a little on her seat.

"Why do you fear me Rusty? I love you. I wish you could understand that." She felt her cell viberate again in her pocket. She was getting annoyed with all of this. All these games Rusty insisted on playing, her boss that would not leave her be for five damned minutes!

She glanced back up at him, her pale eyes meeting his, her fingers tightening on the grill between them. "It was the blood, yes. It is much more than that though, love draws me to you time and time again. When will you see that?" She wished she could cry, she hurt inside so badly, longing for him to join her eternally.

Her phone stopped ringing and she relaxed a little with her grip on the metal. "I just want us to be together, as you promised me. Surely you miss me as much as I miss you?" She pleaded softly, hoping he would give some kind of insight to her of his thoughts? "At least tell me why you run from me? I would never hurt you!" She felt her phone go off again and growled in her throat, her temper rising.

"Excuse me a minute Rusty." She stepped out of the car and shut the door, opening her cell phone, "What?!" She barked into the slim phone. "This had better be good!" She was half tempted to throw the phone, rip off that back door and take him now. But she held back, wanting him to accept this part of her, not fight it.

Guilt had entered into his mind, as before. Every time she talked with him, she came with human and soul filled puppy dog eyes, and he couldn't help but feel sorry for her, but she did want to kill him after all.
He didn't want to be a vampire, damnit. He was happy being a human. She had... she had just been at the wrong place.
She was sick, diseased. She didn't know who she was.
Rusty thought of getting help for her. She deserved help, but no one even knows vampires exist, much less has a cure for vampirism. The few people he talked to who believed in them either told him to just kill her, or pray to Fresno, the god of Vampires, for guidance.
Those didn't help either.
She got out of the car, and he could see through the mesh that seperated the front from the back the locks to the doors. He tried his hands, but they were too big. The umbrella worked, if he put it in handle side last, but it didn't go far enough.
Rusty went to one side of the cab, pulling with all his strength. The mesh ripped, far enough for him to get his umbrella through.
In an instant, he popped the lock.
Rusty wanted to just run for it. Make a mad dash out of there, but she was outside, and had the upper hand in a flat out race.
He caught sight on the far side of a bus stop. A block and a half away, but it had people standing around it.
The bus would be coming.
And people!
He might have a chance. Rusty looked back, to make sure she was still on the phone. He eased the door on the other side open, and pulled it out as far as he dared.
Like a shot, he was off.

Misty

Her back to the car, she argued with her boss over his demanding behavior. She could be fired, but what did that matter? She had Rusty. She grinned a little, ignoring the nagging voice in her ear as she turned.

Glancing into the car a second, she argued back "I just did the damned job you paid for, now you want..." Her eyes went back to the car, which was empty. "DAMN IT!" Her eyes darted quickly and spotted Rusty making a run for the bus stop ahead.

"What?" the voice demanded.

"Rusty is running again!" She tensed, her hand tightening on her cell phone as the familiar anger rose up again.

"Rusty? Who the fuck is rusty?! Look Misty, I need you to make sure he's hidden well and restrained.. AND alive!" The bus pulled up and everyone loaded onto the bus after Rusty pushed his way on.

"Look, I have to go.." She muttered, her hand on the taxi's door. She would follow him as she always did, damn him! Damn the phone as well!

"No, You have a job to do. Chase humans on your own time. I want this done and I want it done tonight.. or no pay. And it won't stop there." He was threatening her in a subtle way, she knew that for now Rusty would be free. It pissed her off all the more. "Fine." She hung up, her hand tightening on the handle as the bus drove by her. Roaring with anger, she tore the door from the taxi and hurdled it at the retreating bus.

"FUCK!" She tore off the other direction, tears of frustration and anger wetting her eyes but not falling. She would have her day, eventually she would get him!
