I just found this thread and had to reply. Penetration is the whipped cream on the sundae and orgasm is the cherry on top. It is soooo much better if you've spent an hour or so (at least) touching, teasing, exploring each other's bodies. As I am a little older, I probably have a different viewpoint than a younger guy, for me that viewpoint hasn't changed that much for 30 years.
I still think the foreplay is the "best" part.
First, the teasing, the flirting, the creating of anticipation. Kinda of the PRE foreplay, but still part of it.
Then the actual start with the kissing and cuddling and caressing.
Then the clothes go and the real fun starts. I just plain love the taste and the touch of a woman. I love to tease and try to keep bringing her closer all the time. Then my hunger takes over. I don't want a snack when I have a banquet in front of me. I just love the scream of her orgasm!
