i had a conversation with a woman i know who works at home depot this morning. she said that even though their stocks have risen, her hours have been cut. she received a raise at the time of the tax cuts but it was infinitesimal, after taxes it practically disappeared. at the same time, she's working less hours and overtime has been cut altogether. instead, they've hired a bunch of young people at close to minimum wage. she's been there almost 20 years.......
