I am interested in exploring the consequences of someone that has been a forced sex slave for a long period of time in a story idea I have.

Specifically the psychological consequences, how would they cope on their release? What symptoms would they suffer?

For instance, the subject would have been a sex slave over a 12 year period and escapes their tormentor.
1, would they want to escape? are there aspects of their incarceration they enjoy?
2, If they had been captured from a very young age would they have issues communicating / Expressing themselves / language problems once released?
3, What fears and anxieties would they suffer?
4, Would there be any part of their incarceration that they missed?
5, How would this affect their self esteem.

Any ideas or insights would be welcome.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that no one here has any idea what that's like. Sadly, this sort of thing happens, so I would Google news reports and try to find interviews with the victims. If you write this story, I advise you to be very careful about it.

My idea was sort of looking into how and why someone ends up submitting themselves to another. Could be interesting.

The story could be interesting. Here's the problem, there's no one answer to this. Sometimes a person held as a sex slave enjoyed it and can't get away from being a sex slave. Sometimes they end up being unable to leave the house. Others turn into nymphomaniacs and look for sex, I'm talking even just going up to strange people and saying fuck me please. On the very rare occassion they end up perfectly normal.

Granted the last one is after lots of counseling and generally they are all rape victims with all the jumpiness that entails. Also keep in mind, they are broken to begin with. This is why long term kidnapping/sex slave victims care for their attacker. They are broken down and left there so they are quick to attach to someone. Usually this is their parents but can be most anyone, their counselor, the cop that they talked to, was rescued by, some random person they meet.

As I said the story could be interesting, but to really delve into it almost requires the sex is secondary. Not really worth it for this site.

I agree BUT...

It's not implausible that some fair number of real, live 'sex slaves' escape, and continue the trade, but not as a slave. That has all kinds of possibilities.

To the extent that the erotic plotline depends on the female being stupid and having continual orgasms every time she looks around, yes, it's not going to work that way.

What is here is true character development as the primary story. It's not incompatible with a personal history of 'sex slavery', any more than it is incompatible with a personal history of strict and harsh religious upbringing.

This is along the lines that I'm thinking. My victim would have only known pain and pleasure and submission (The pleasure coming from sex play). When the victim escapes (or is released) I want to explore their relationship with their saviour and others in their new and alien environment.

I do feel however that sex is important to this as they have to now learn to give as they only was ever on the receiving end. Also love is going to be a primary factor in their development, they may have fallen for their captor at some point but in the victims release love takes on a whole new meaning for them.

Do you think the attacker could become likable/caring for the victim and that's why they might not want to escape? Plus if the victim enjoyed the sex or learned to like it?

Generally when someone takes another person and hides them away for their own sexual pleasure they are not like able to the victim. See a person has to be off to even think of doing it, actually doing it they are close to a psychopath. See not all are violent, they just don't connect feelings to environment.

Also means they can become violent because they just don't equate what they are doing with anything else. These are the same sorts who will take a magnifying glass to ants to burn them and larger animals. See they don't always continue killing, doesn't mean they are not a psychopath.

What this means is taking a person to be a sex slave only means they think the person is sexy and wants to keep them. Such a person will never be like able, they will treat the victim well because they become less desirable if underfed and so forth. They usually don't abuse because it has the same effect, though if they like causing pain they will. Course if they like causing pain they are a serial killer.

The whole thing is really closely related so there is a fine line between a serial killer and a person taking another for a sex slave. The victim will have feelings of affection for their abductor, because they kept them alive. Stockholm Syndrome basically, they are afraid for their lives at first, and then used for someone else's sexual pleasure, after long enough they equate it as love and become happy, as well as nervous. Largely depends on how exactly they are treated.

Before anybody asks the bought sex slaves are broken by someone else. They are held by fear, and usually they are treated fairly well so they can fall in love as well. Usually a kinder treatment than a kidnapped sex slave receives.

It some times happens, when the victim, decides to make the most of the bad situation, and finds that they are enjoying the company of the kidnapper, so to gain their trust they cooperate, and start to find it enjyable. Can I kidnap you Bubbles please?
