New York is by no means miserable. Just ask Forbes magazine. Their headquarters is on 5th Ave. Oh and they sold it to NYU only to lease it back. So their renters in NYC, just like a million plus other people.

Oh and be wary of any Forbes real estate list. Mostly because the guy is a massive tax cheat in New Jersey. By claiming he's a farmer he only pays about $2000 on 449 acres in NJ.
