Just an itsy bitsy question: I've seen people here talk about how they have edited stories and poems on Lit.

...how? When approved, I don't see that I can do anything with them.

Hi Lin,
I haven't actually done this myself, but this is seems to be the accepted answer to your question.

Use the original title with the word Revised on the end and add a note to the editor explaining your changes when you resubmit.

If you're happy with your finished story, that's great. There's no need.

I sometimes revisit an old poem (or story) and find it lacking. If an improvement hits me right away, I'll go through the sequence that catbabe (above) describes.

As far as I know, the casual reader sees no evidence of any editing.

No problem! Simply submit the new version as you submitted the old one, only adding the word "EDITED" to the title (ex. "My Sexy Firefighter Ch. 03 - EDITED") so that we know to replace the old text with the new text. We will then replace the original text with the new text. Your story will retain its previous voting score and views.
