You know I would NEVER do that to my baby boy! I got him some medicine that they pharmacist recommended and he took it several times yesterday, relunctantly, he said that it tasted awful. But he was feeling better this morning and went to school. They get out early today. I don't what it is for, probably some kind of school district meeting or something like that!

Aww that is a sweet thing to say. I know that I could never take the place of your sister, but I will always be here for you, you know that! The evening went pretty well. Busy, keeping on top of Daniel to do homework, helping him and trying to relax some along the way. I ended up not going to work, called in and asked for annual. He had so much that needed to be completed. It was hard for me to tell, but there are alot of things that I think were supposed to be turned in today. His science fair project is due Monday and he has a reading project due next Wed.
He also brought home a letter from the middle school about next year. They HAVE to take English, reading, math, science and social studies.
They have to have at least one year of PE/Sports and it has to be taken in the 7th grade. He has a choice of taking PE, which he is, football - have to attend a mini camp in Mar or April, and there are alot of practices during summer and after school, and they do not provide transportation to/from the games in middle school. Tennis - you have to already know how to play and have to try out for it.
Then they have one elective that they can take in 7th grade, his counselor is supposed to have forms for the kids interested in working on the year book staff. He is going to ask about that today. It is due back no later than next Thu. Then he will have to go to a after school event for about an hour and they will make the final selection. He really wants to do this. So he is going to try for it. If he can't get in that he is going to try for Band, maybe. Those were the only two electives that they told about, but there will be an orientation meeting for parents/students and the elective teachers will be there. I told him he might could be in choir instead of band. If he does take Band, he will need to be there early, the instruments of choice go very quickly. he wants to play percussion(drums) if he does do band. Also the band has a mini camp like thing too I think. And it is mandatory that they attend the meeting in order to sign up for band.
Boy I am definitely feeling my age starting to plan all this for/with him.
And on top of that he is so involved with LTC for church. That is the convention that we always go to Easter weekend. He has been working on the bible bowl. It is on Moses this year. Usually it is over one book, but this year they decided to make it on the life of Moses. They hope to be finished studying it by March and then just have to practice. The chorus's have not been formed yet. There are alot of pre-convention things going on now also. He is helping teach a 4 yr old class on Wed night for the month of Feb. Next Wed and the following one he has to be there early to work on a bulletin board with another boy. They only have 2 wks to complete the work. He will be writing and doing a 1 min radio talk, Bible reading, service challenge - they are keeping up with the things that they do, daily devotional - he does this every day over at my aunts with Chris and Sandy. He is supposed to be doing Christian Art- Photography, he has not heard anything about it yet. He still has to prepare his Speech. And they will be forming a group to do Modern Drama.
As you can see he is going to be one very busy little boy. And he could not understand why I told him he did not need to be playing inline hockey this season. Partly because of his grades and partly he is just so busy with everything else! But I guess it keeps him out of trouble!
