Do they? What have they done in the last year and a half? Russia still holds the ground they invaded and is presently seizing more. We know they are short of fighting-age men because the average age of the Ukrainian army is 43 years old. For reference, the average age of our soldiers in WWL was between 23 and 26 years old.
What has Russia done?
Russia has not gotten back the all the land they took at the start. You live in a world of make believe.
Russia has raised the top end of the call up age as well. Care to guess why?

They have the exact maps for each day of the war at ISW. They have reports that are both current day-to-day and extremely detailed. They have good intelligence but it is run by Deep State Actors who know how to put lipstick on a pig but. The CEO is a four-star General whose present and future status is in the hands of the President, so there is that.

Looking at the map the question should be what has Ukraine done? The entire Donbas is in the hands of the Russians.
You claimed Russia has captured back all the terriroty they had after the first month of the war. I posted a link to a site that allows you to chronologically view the maps at any time.
Russia has not captured back all that territory. Sorry you don't like that Russia has not yet concurred Ukraine.

What has Ukraine been doing for the last year? Show us on the map how far they've pushed back the Russians.
They've been holding as much of the ground they captured in the 2022 offensive as they can. Since then Russia has lost 70,000 troops, thousands of tanks, planes, guns etc all for a gain of about 2.3% of Ukraine territory.

Defending their country from the invasion by Russia. So far, Russia has not achieved it's stated goals. The only goal Ukraine has had is defend itself against aggressors and push them out of the country. Half of those are successful.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy dismissed the head of the state guards on May 9, two days after two of its members were accused of plotting to assassinate him. Zelenskiy issued a decree dismissing Serhiy Rud.
No successor was identified. Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said this week that it had caught two men — colonels in the state guard service — accused of plotting the assassination of Zelenskiy and other top officials.
It said the men were recruited by Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) who leaked classified information to Moscow.

“[At] the beginning of the night, the Russian occupiers increased the fire pressure on first line of our defence with the support of artillery.
“At approximately 5AM local time, there was an attempt by the enemy to break through our defence line using armoured vehicles,” the MoD reported. Although they confirmed that these attacks have been repelled while “battles of varying intensity continue.”

It’s darkly amusing (cynical) that a traitor like Russiaguide, who championed delaying / denying the military aid to Ukraine that could have greatly changed the trajectory of the war and would have significantly strengthened the defense of Ukraine, is now crowing about being "right" about "something???".
