For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

This is a fantastic podcast for political discussion. As for this thread, the comments about 20-25 mins in is spot on. Our new position on Ukraine is exactly the position we had towards Europe prior to getting pulled into the great world wars.

Not to mention all in agreement that Trump has made us weaker overall.

Left, Right and Center Podcast

While Trump is saving Putin, the latter is facing problems on the front lines—the AFU are counterattacking in several locations across Donbas, including Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar, and Toretsk. The Russians report serious issues with manpower, depleted by Gerasimov’s endless meat assaults. Of course, there’s no need to rush to conclusions—the AFU’s advances are localised, and there’s no guarantee they won’t be halted at some point.

And this is why Putin is pressuring the dumb fuck who unfortunately is our president.

While you're posting this about the Russian..... also post what Ukrainian side speaks as well, it is nearly identical in substance.... no sane person wants to be sacrificed for their uncaring government and or billionaires.....
Something else ChloeTzang.... I would like to know how you discern the truth from propaganda?..... I'm not being snarky
Last night there were reports coming of the shortwave raido that claimed the Russians were just hammering the western side of Ukraine with cruse missiles, ballistic missiles and a shit ton of drones....... my question is how much of the electrical grid is still operational, what remains of the available fresh water supplies, and I'm betting the average ukie is down to eating cornmeal mush... you're painting a rosie picture of a country that has been hammered for near 3 years.....

Slightly higher than the 4% Trump pulled out of his ass. And of course, if there was an election in UA and Zelensky won, as he would right now, Trump would immediately say that there was "huge fraud" and would not recognize any result that didn't suit him.

The White House has fired their press secretary, Leavitt and instead deferred that position to Putin and RT.com.

Russia attacked Ukraine with a large amount of missiles and drones overnight. The Air Force reports that both F-16's and Mirage-2000 jets were involved in repelling the attack. Also shown, approximate routes of Russian missiles, mainly aimed for Ukraine's gas and energy infrastructure.

The Odesa region was hit again: this is the sixth attack on its energy infrastructure in the past 2.5 weeks — DTEK reports. Engineers are working on restoration. While Russia continues its missile terror without any US recepercussions, Ukraine is told to "cease fire" and forced to 'sit down' at the table. No questions as to Trump's intentions here. He's so blatantly on Russia's side it couldn't be more obvious.

Shot down:
25/35 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles
8/8 Kalibr cruise missiles
0/3 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles
0/4 S-300 ballistic missiles
1/8 Kh-59/69 cruise missiles
186/194 Shahed drones (100 shot down, 86 supressed)

Are these Russian numbers or Ukrainian numbers?

Russian milbloggers report that a Ukrainian local counteroffensive near Pokrovsk has started. "Ukrainian forces expanded their assault today, achieving significant tactical gains. Fighting is intense, with up to two brigades attacking from Pokrovsk and one from Uspenivka. Russian forces are struggling but holding," they add. Russian channels report of problems in manpower and Russian glide bombs being jammed, making them wildly inaccurate. A Ukrainian reports that hundreds of AFU drone operator groups are preventing the occupiers from even lifting their heads out of their trenches. Ukraines drone production is definitely a game changer and will help offset an artillery shell shortage with US aid having been cut off. The same thing is being reported by the Russians so there should be no room for doubt on this one.

Russian logistics near Pokrovsk have completely collapsed under relentless Ukrainian drone strikes. Ukrainian forces have created a kill zone for all Russian vehicles, and Russian forces are now resorting to horses, donkeys, and even a camel to transport troops and supplies to the front. Their constant drone strikes are devastating Russian supply lines, command centers, and units moving to the contact line, severely disrupting an already weak logistical network.

While frozen ground conditions technically allow Russian forces to maneuver their remaining armored vehicles more effectively, their ability to conduct large-scale mechanized assaults has been severely weakened by the staggering number of vehicle losses sustained over months of fighting. Despite the solid terrain, the battlefield dynamics remain under Ukrainian drone dominance. Russian forces have found it nearly impossible to advance without being spotted, and any attempt at rapid movement results in swift targeting by Ukrainian artillery and drones. The regular Russian tactic of using the survivors of failed mechanized assaults to dig in along tree lines does not work with completely frozen ground, as it is too hard to dig in quickly enough before Ukrainians fully eliminate them with drones. Russian assault groups that manage to cross open terrain are often left exposed without cover and subsequently eliminated by Ukrainian drone strikes.

A stark indication of Russian struggles has emerged in recent footage from Russian soldiers filming themselves moving to the frontline on horseback. They are seen carrying their full combat equipment, including armor vests and shoulder-fired anti-tank weapons. Another clip shows other soldiers riding horses through a village, again moving toward the front, however, with fewer weapons than the previous group. This shows that the implementation of new improvised cavalry units applies to all levels of the Russian armed forces, from highly trained personnel to the foot soldiers sent on meat waves. Other shocking images even show the usage of donkeys and a camel to transport supplies. While these methods may partially help sustain some positions, it highlights the growing desperation, as the use of such improvised cavalry in modern warfare is an unmistakable sign that conventional Russian logistics have entirely broken down.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian mechanized units continue to operate effectively, reinforcing positions, rotating troops, and maintaining steady pressure on Russian-held settlements. Overall, the ongoing battle near Pokrovsk illustrates the widening gap in military capabilities between the two sides. While Ukrainian forces maintain mobility with modern mechanized forces, Russian troops are being pushed into increasingly outdated and desperate tactics, relying more and more on animals to sustain their operations. If this trend continues, Russian attempts to advance westward will remain slow, costly, and ultimately unsustainable, while Ukrainian defenders continue to tighten their hold on the battlefield, and winning the war of attrition.

Just as a reminder, Russian milbloggers and Russia itself were promising that Pokrovsk was about to fall when Ukraine went into Kursk 6+ months ago. Russia has taken huge losses to make it this close to Pokrovsk. Now, those Russian units on the frontline are being eliminated in place and Russia is running low on more men to throw into the battle here.

A Russian milblogger affiliated with the Girkin-Strelkov circle reports fierce resistance from Ukrainian forces on the southern flank of the Pokrovske direction. He states that Ukrainian troops fully control the skies, deploying a massive number of drones. Rotation is impossible, losses are severe, and any further advance is currently out of the question.

Keep in mind these are Ukrainian drones and Ukrainian production is set to at least double in 2025. The UK, Germany, the Netherlands, have all allocated large amounts of funding to manufacturing drones for Ukraine - in the case of Germany, Germany is expected to start delivering thousands of drones per month.

I'm going to suggest this again - watch the trilogy of world war 2 that Playtone put out on HBO again or for the first time.

Saying our allyship deserves to be abandoned isnfuckong idiocy.

These are as reported by Ukrainian Defense Forces who are generally as accurate with their numbers as they can be.
ChloeTzang, the ukies will never, ever tell the truth outside of their war planning rooms..... one never states the truth outside of the war planning room.... that's just plain dangerous..... just as the Russians will never state the actual truth outside of their war planning room /inner circle.......it's dangerous.... the truth is you or I basically have little to no idea of the situation......
One more item.... Mike waltz is telling Zelensky he needs to lower the conscription age to 18 years of age.....why is this being said? The one main reason is Zelensky is extremely short of fresh meat to sacrifice to the meat grinder.... just say'in 🤷‍♀️
Also come to find out we (America) have been doing the heavy lifting in Europe (actual) lifting of the heavy weapons in Europe.... get this, the European roads and bridges and railroads can't handle the rolling loads.... ya can't make this shit up.....

So your argument is that Ukrainians are lying.

Meanwhile Russians are attacking by saying that Nazis are the issue ...and yet have provided no Nazi casualties.

Russians are claiming Zelensky is a dictator, without explaining that the Ukranian Parliament has renewed martial law every quarter

Russia are claiming that Ukrainians are against young men while kidnapping Ukranian teenagers from Ukraine.

Fucking Rube.

Thank you for taking the time to post this ChloeTzang.....this very post reinforces my strong belief..... that the strongest tree in the forest, stands alone.... they really don't need us and we really don't need them. we as Americans must rebuild our manufacturing base, develop our own natural resources (outside of corruption)... and cut off all substance to those fat ass lazy scum that won't work for a living...either work or starve...... soft times, make soft people...tough times, make tough/strong people......
Well, your argument falls flat on its face because clearly you know nothing about forests and trees

I've seen a lot of posters assert as an established fact that corrupt Ukrainian officials are siphoning off foreign aid -- selling the armaments on the black market.

That is certainly an easy charge to believe of any country in Eastern Europe (see Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index) -- but nobody ever posts any actual proof.
^^^^ Is there any actual proof? ^^^^
