How much different, if any, would your sex life have been if the internet had been around in our younger years?

Mine was pretty good, but I can't help but believe it would have been better if I would have had the insight that's available now. So much of what's openly discussed now was kept secret back then.

I've thought of this so many times. I'm not quite 50, but my sex life would have been a hell of lot kinkier if the internet was around when I was in my teens

I don't know...when I think about it, it probably wouldn't have made that much difference.

I'd have watched a lot of porn, certainly, but I had a marathon boner and was already jacking-off three, four times a day to anything, even over something as lame and tame as the lingerie section in the Sears catalog. :)

But my attitudes and inhibitions and timidity with women, which I didn't lose until much later, would have been pretty much the same. So my sex life--as in participating in, rather than fantasizing about--would most likely have been the same.

I could've saved a fair amount of money from renting XXX VCR tapes - compounding interest over time - maybe early retirement?

It would have avoided all those embarrassing moments going into a shop or store for those "magazines"...

;)

Good, bad, or otherwise, during my late 40's and 50's I met many women via the internet. Some were just cyber buddies with whom I shared friendship and somewhat intimate conversation. Some were cyber buddies with whom I shared intimate conversation, pictures, and even their panties which they mailed to me. Some I met for real and had physical relationships with. The latter eventually was outted by one who turned out to be mentally unstable, and it nearly cost me my marriage.

So.....I would say that the internet allowed me to meet many more women from other parts of the country and even the world that I would have never had contact with in the non-computer age. On the downside and risky side of it, it also made meeting some for real a possibility that would not have existed back in the 60's, 70's and early 80's. Given that situation, I might not have nearly lost my marriage. Like a lot of things in life, the internet can be a double edged sword. It can provide fun and education but it can also present risk and danger. I suppose a hundred years ago, they thought the same thing about the telephone and "motor car".

Loosing your marriage? And the reason being ....? If it was by being 'found out', gee ... did you think you could 'get away' with something?

I've never been a bar/party/pick-up type of a guy. The Internet has given me another avenue to meet people that I didn't have years ago. So I think it would have had a much fuller sex life. It's certainly given me greater access to meeting couples that I may not have had without it.

I've always been into kinky sex from a very young age. I think the internet would have helped me discover a few more of them earlier, but I got around to most of the things I was interested in eventually!

Before the internet, I always enjoyed spending time at my local Adult Bookstore, which had lots of video booths and glory holes. Not that I would risk the anonymous sex any more, but believe me it's much better to experience a glory hole live than to watch a glory hole video on the internet!

That's a tough one. I've been satisfied with how things turned out until now. If the internet was around when I was younger I just might have f'ed up a couple things and not had the memories I have now.
