Being a veteran myself I would like to say Thank You to all the other veterans here at LIT for their service to this country.

I'm guessing it's veterans day or something in the US?

Whether it is or isn't, as one highly conscious of the sacrifices made in the name of freedom, by veterans all over the world, thank you.

Hey a92 - for some reason your sig line never finishes loading

Monday is Veteran's Day here in the US.

Most communities here are having their parades today which makes the early thanks appropriate.

I too am a veteran who would like to thank other veterans for their service.

Add me to the list.

I want to add VERY special best wishes to my friends in theater...

URRAH!

I have an uncle who served in Vietnam.

His son, my cousin, is in the Air Force.

To them, and to all of the veterans here in the US and abroad who fought to keep democracy on the face of this planet, I commend you, and honor all veterans in my heart.

God Bless You All

Today is rememberance sunday here in the UK. A huge crowd turned out for the main wreath laying ceremony at the cenotaph in London. Around the country at the memorials, which virtually every town, village or city district have many more will gather to remember our war dead. Overseas at cemetaries in around 80 countries, parties of veterans associations and honour guards of serving personnel will have travelled thousands of miles to remember their comrades.

From a lady who enjoys all the freedoms afforded to her and her country because the boys in the service fought to protect them...I extent a grateful thank you!

Humbly yours

Suzi:rose::heart::kiss:

Thanks to all the vets out there....the ones that have died...and the ones still alive. I am like Killermuffin...I come from a family of those who have served. And I am proud to still serve today. Thanks airborne for this thread:)

It is just my way of remembering them and people like you katelync, and a way to say thank you.

I wish to add my thanks to all Veterans of all services, (of all countries) but today I would like to pay special attention to the Veterans of Vietnam. They got the worst homecoming I have ever seen and I am ashamed that the US treated them that way.

Thank you all for all you have done and continue to do for us!

For 14 years

I was a vet and decided to loose that title by resigning. Now on active duty I thank you all.

bump .......the days not over yet. Every vet deserves ever second of it in gratitude and honor.

A special thank you to the veterans of World War II: they saved this planet from the Nazis.

And a thank you to the veterans of Vietnam: you got shit on when you got home but we will never forget you.

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

daughter and step-daughter of a veteran and cousin of many veterans from Vietnam to the Persian Gulf War.
