Heard from all 4 of my kids one way or another. Spent most of the day by myself. The one kid who was living with me finished packing his stuff last night and left out to move 1900 miles away.

Its bittersweet. I hate to see him go so far. Especially the reasons why he went. I figure he will be back. But I like that I have alone time being hubby is hardly home.

My kids and I have a tradition of gardening together on Mothers Day. First we get coffee, go to a local nursery, and pick out plant starts. Then head to the garden and get everything in the ground. Took a break (it was hot!) and later had a picnic. 22 paid for the plants as my gift and gave me a card. 16 made me an elaborate collage / art piece. It was a lovely day.
