The fucking gate in my driveway got in my way today. How did it know I had put some money into the savings?

Got the estimate for the car...

$1468.61.. I have a $500.00 deductible.. and the insurance approved the remaining balance. They have ordered the few parts that need to be replaced (molding and door handle) and the paint.

Not sure when they will get the parts or the paint so I have no idea when the car will go into the shop.

Just incase anyone is wondering.. the fence received no damage and I have no grounds to sue. (I tried.. but the lawyer laughed).

You know my mom did almost that exact same thing to her maxima backing out of a friends driveway. She hit there big brick mailbox and scraped all the way from the rear fender to the front of the rear door.

They estimated 700 some dollars but she has never gotten it fixed.

You know that little "ding" noise you get when you start the car and a door is open? My ex heard that one day but didn't pay it much attention. Then she noticed that she was having a really hard time getting the car out of the garage.. So she gunned it... Ripped that back door rightoff of the car and mangled the driver's door and front fender while twisting the roof of the car like a pretzel. But then when it DID get out of the garage she ran over teh kids tricycle punching the handle bar up throough the bottom of the gas tank. She was so pissed she slammed it ino 1st gear and pulled it back into the garage and drove it through the back wall into the parking lot behind us.

She left it there and rented a car for the rest of the weekend. The whole thing was my fault because I was off on a hunting trip 200 miles away all week. It's the only time I know of anyone has ever totaled a car trying to back out of a one car garage...
