Ok so I'm almost done with book 9 of The Wheel of Time and he's bringing back characters I haven't heard from in a few book AND I've been reading these things for a year now throwing other books in the mix and it's just too much to keep track of.

So I figured this is a fantasy novel, geeks galore have read them, I'll bet there's a devoted geek or ten out there that have websites devoted to these books with character charts!

The one I found is totally over the top fabulous for my purposes. It not only lists every character and where they are from but it gives a detailed description of them as well. Hundreds of characters! In fact if you read up on even the ones you know well you may find stuff you missed or simply didn't see.

Example, I knew that Mordeth touched Fain in Shadar Logoth but I must have missed the part where they actually merged into Fain's body.

What? Yeah I'm a dork. lol Shut up.

Fantasy novel series are written Television.

Go read some Ballard.

I mean, character charts, thats one step from a fucking cult.

Oh hush Mr If it's mainstream I ain't fishin' in it. lol I happen to love these books and I'll stand proud as the only uber geek at Lit. :p

Thank you. I am going to need that as soon as I pick up the book.

I guess I'm not good enough to be an Uber Geek *sob* I'll just go read my Terry Goodkind books now...:D

Not a clue who that is. lol I don't actually know much about fantasy. I've read maybe 4 other series. lol

I am so lost in book 10...I'm 250 pages in, and Rand al'Thor hasn't even showed up yet!

Oh! You're ahead of me. lol He'll be there. Is 10 the last one?

Careful, you came close to stepping on my title there... I worked hard to earn that (I think, lol).

I don't see any indication that it should be the last one...the Last Battle is nowhere to be seen in the first half of teh book, so I assume we can expect at least 1 more book.

Ohh, bless you, bless you--I got so frellin' lost at times during Book 9, I'd 'bout decided I was going to have to start with book 1 and do this myself.

And book 10 is out now? Cool...

That's exactly why I changed it. lol Normally I would consider myself far more dork than geek.

Robert Jordan is getting old, if he dies with this unfinished I'm gonna be PISSED! lol

LOL... As long as there's not issues there. Feel free to be a dork, lol.

I'll get the hell out of your thread now (not familiar with the books).

Please, since when do any of my threads stay on topic anyway?

Robert Jordan wrote some good Conan books. :)
Those books are like what Romance novels are to women-fighting, then sex, then fighting, then about to have sex, then preparing to fight, then sex, then fighting again, then fighting and sex... :D

Hey! He's only about six months older than I am -- that ain't old

I have said (from about book two or three) that if he dies before finishing the series, I'm going to dig him up and kill him.
