I just got a call from Red; she's in the hospital, recovering from surgery. Her hope for a simple laproscopic procedure didn't pan out. They had to do it the hard way.

She was pretty groggy from the pain meds (she told me good-bye about five times ) but assured me she was doing fine. Hopefully, all goes well and she will be back with us shortly.

She'd been having some pain for a while and had scheduled what was supposed to have been a simple procedure. I won't spare any personal details; that's for Red to do. Rest assured it was nothing immediately life-threatening.
