An honest few questions for the lit community. No judgments. I just think it would be insightful to hear from you about this. I am not married but I know that it is something that I want, and when it comes I want to choose wisely. So why not ask this community about their experiences and perspectives? After all, I believe there's a lot we can learn from each other, right? Now, on with the questions...

a) How long have you been married?
b) Are you happy with who you chose to marry?
c) If you could do it over again, how would you have chosen differently?
d) Any additional thoughts you'd like to share?

I look forward to hearing from you! It's been impressive to see such a supportive community and I'm grateful to be a part of it. Thanks!

Dan.

Are you some kind of homo or something?

a) How long have you been married?

Was married for a few years.

b) Are you happy with who you chose to marry?

No.

c) If you could do it over again, how would you have chosen differently?

I'd never do it again.

d) Any additional thoughts you'd like to share?

Marriage is a legal nightmare and economic suicide bomb vest just waiting to go off.

Enjoy!

a) How long have you been married?

20 years :)

I describe hubby as the puzzle piece I didn't know I was missing in my life. It might sound corny to some but that is how I feel :)

We've been through a lot with a big blended family. Shared custody with his ex wife and my ex behaved like a douche. We tried to make time for each other even when we were both working with date night. Breakfast with each other even though sometimes it was 4 30 am. We valued that time but I wish we had made even more time for each other and got a baby sitter in and not have felt guilty about it. :)

Marriage isn't easy. Relationships aren't easy.

Two totally different people who have had completely different upbringings and life experiences come together and even with all the love and patience in the world you're going to squabble have your differences and sometimes find each others odd quirks or idiosyncrasies soooooooooooooooo annoying.

But love each other be good friends, show your love, be fair, honest, understanding, compromise don't play mind games, communicate.

:)

Most GB women are married and believe that complete honesty and trust are the most important ingredients.... in a husband.

a) How long have you been married? 38 and counting
b) Are you happy with who you chose to marry? Not terribly happy. Sort of treading water.
c) If you could do it over again, how would you have chosen differently? I would have known better to find a woman who craved oral sex. This one doesn't give hardly at all and really doesn't like receiving much either.
d) Any additional thoughts you'd like to share? We would be perfect for swinging in that I / we would hopefully break out of the looooooong rut that we find ourselves in.
