For people who are into brother/sister incest, which of the three possible combinations is your favorite?
-Older brother/younger sister
-Older sister/younger brother
-Twins (or triplets, etc) - bro/sis born at same time
All three have their merits, which I'll describe my personal feelings about here.
Big brother/little sister: There's a huge taboo in the sense that elder brothers should be protecting their little sisters, so turning her into a sexual partner instead is pretty wildly "wrong" and erotic. The sister could also tap a bit into the "virginal school girl" dynamic. In general in society, women younger than you are largely considered preferable to women older than you.
Big sister/little brother: An older sister can be seen as something of an authority figure with some control over the brother, so turning that person into a sexual partner instead can be a very empowering concept (regardless of whether the sister is close, loving and protective or if she thinks of him as a "bratty little brother" and teases him). I can't speak for the female perspective, but I think from a male perspective, in general, in real life brothers are more likely to be attracted to their older sisters than their younger ones and the degree of "this person cannot be obtained" is higher.
Twins/born together: The co-dependency and fact that they were born together helps create a real sense of intimacy and closeness, and sense of them "belonging together." Twins share a special bond and closeness that a lot of siblings of different ages do not, which helps when writing/reading a story that emphasizes the romance more than the eroticism.
Interestingly enough, the three highest rated bro/sis incest stories on the site each have a different relationship. Threads: The Island is about triplets (a brother and his two sisters); the Colleen series is about younger bro/older sister, and "Words on Skin" is big brother/little sister.
For me personally, it's a toss up. The story series I have published here is big bro/little sister, but my next story that I'm halfway through is about twins and my next concept after that is older sister/younger brother so I'm a fan of all three.
So I'm interested in seeing what other people think and prefer.
